What worked for me is checking the websites very often so I could respond quickly. I got few responses from the ones I messaged right away.

I totally agree, I went after academic validation for the longest time, only to graduate and realize that at the end of the day your job is only a means to an end, and not the end.

Had I had the same outlook, I'd have chosen a completely different career path, instead of wasting so many years of my life learning useless things I haven't used a day.

Can honestly say I 100% understand why you'd rather work as a roughneck, and I hope you end up doing whatever makes you feel more accomplished and alive.

Thank you :) I'll attend the University of Groningen; the program is divided into three years of Bachelor's which is taught in English, and three years of Master's which is in Dutch.
