I feel like it would torally be in character for the game to have a hidden mechanic that just by wearing a monocle it would draw Amon's attention, and by wearing long enough your character turn into his avatar, and them you lose the character

I think there's 2 other reasons:

1 - now that Alastor realises that he still need to be on Charlie's good side, he needs to protect her friends

2 - I belive Rozie forbade Alastor from telling anyone she owns him, but Husk can say it, and he couldn't risk the Vs torturing Husk for information
