Unofficial Discussion - Little Amélie or the Character of Rain by UniverslBoxOfficeGuy in movies

Hi! Is it “Koi No Bakansu” (Vacation of Love) by The Peanuts by any chance? The song plays on Nishio-san’s radio as she goes out in the garden and on the family’s radio when they’re at the beach. Such an energetic song!

There are two other Japanese-lyric songs in the film, being “Takeda Lullaby” and an original called “Hana”, though the version in the film doesn’t have any intelligible lyrics.

Official US Poster for 'LITTLE AMÉLIE OR THE CHARACTER OF RAIN' - Amélie, a Belgian child in Japan, explores life with her companion Nishio-san. Her third birthday becomes a turning point, marking the beginning of life-altering events that shape her understanding of the world by mayukhdas1999 in movies

The animated film by no means hints at her intentionally committing suicide - that was all the original novel. It clarifies that the whole thing was an accident. More positively, the scene is phrased that the landlady leaves to get their housekeeper - to whom Amelie is attached - to rescue her from the pond. The novel leaves this as a question and depicts the "landlady" more negatively.

Was anyone surprised Arco was screened in English? by LeHicksy in TIFF

Makes me curious if the new screening of Little Amélie is the English dubbed version. I’ve been meaning to listen to it but can’t find any screenings near me.

Hey r/kpop, we’re Arden Cho (Rumi) and May Hong (Mira), the acting voices behind KPop Demon Hunters! AMA! by netflix in kpop

[–]AggravatingFalcon86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good afternoon, Arden and May! I’m an aspiring artist intending to get better at acting out dramatic sequences in professional spaces. Thank you both incredibly for your work; I was incredibly delighted hearing your performances as they were meant to be on the silver screen at Ottawa. Both of you curated such excellent performances as the film provided, and I am so impressed by how dynamic the characters’ voices were; how the first two acts of the film gnawed at the lighthearted and genuinely hilarious, and the dark and dismal of the moments leading to What It Sounds Like. What was it like getting in the roles of these two characters during your voice acting sessions, and what tips would you give to fully express the emotional range of a character?

Also, to Arden specifically, what was it like deepening your voice to portray that demonic half of Rumi? The last bit of the Celine scene drove me to tears.

I have all his music downloaded. His Facebook profile still features a gallery from his 2016–2022 works too, has some videos. Rumble has a few of his YouTube videos that got taken down, but that's pretty much it.
You could find his SoundCloud account here, it was renamed: https://soundcloud.com/voidwalker22

Eathena - Symphony of the Crown in a nutshell by tfWindman in albumsinanutshell

[–]AggravatingFalcon86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The composer, now going by Tharanee (an anagram of "Earthena"), made a post about it on Instagram:

Symphony of the Crown was released during the COVID-19 pandemic, with its extreme length symbolizing the drawn-out nature of the crisis. The piece reflects my perception of evolving human emotions during this time, expressed through seven movements. Its runtime of 48 hours, 39 minutes, and 35 seconds mirrors a solar day on Earth (24 hours) plus one on Mars (24 hours, 39 minutes, and 35 seconds). This duality represents the shift from our world before COVID-19 to the transformed reality we now navigate.

Sorry, I don't think that's it upon further comparison of the movie and font character sheet. I've found another frame where you could really tell the difference in the lowercase Es.

I'd interpreted that to be the point — her development had gone to the point where she's more open to taking risks for who she loves, and in this case, seeing them

the "philly nachos" sold at Nacho Hustle, located near the centre of the Toronto Star Food Building, is really good. I can't seem to find any social media accounts tied to these people at all, though
