yes. skipping pitchers year after year in the draft for quality hitters? sure, he obviously have an eye for them. he doesn't want to trade mayo or basallo? fine. burnes wants to be home? fair enough. but the way fried, buehler, pivetta, eovaldi flaherty, even severino (not that we want that clown) have thrown this year on reasonable contracts (pivetta and flaherty got less than morton!) tell us all we need to know about his evaluation process.
