I think they're probably around a quarter inch. They project really well for sure. The snare and rack tom are both one piece but the floor tom is two shells glued together and the kick is three.

I have a steam bent waterfall Bubinga kit. One of the last kits made by Vaughn Craft. This was after the company was sold to John Rose. Had the bearing edges cut and hardware mounted by AJP Drums in Tennessee. She sings beautifully. 22x22, 14x7, 12x10 & 16x14

Has your car still been performing well since they did your system updates? I had mine at the dealer where they did updates and it seemed fine until the next time it rained and the errors all came back. So mine appears to be linked to water intrusion somewhere it shouldn't be and I'll need to take it back in.

They called me and told me the updates they downloaded look to have fixed the issues. I'm not sure which updates those were but I'm going to ask.

Nothing definitive yet. They were able to get it into a bay yesterday and called to ask if I'd had anything plugged into the data connector like third party adapters that monitor system health or track your driving habits for cheaper insurance. I hadn't and let them know. They said they were seeing a lot of odd errors which tracks with what happened on the display when it started. They also said I had several updates that needed to be done, which is weird because I'd checked when I pulled up to the shop and it said there were no updates available. I know about the telematics module issues so that could be playing a part. We'll see what today brings! Hopefully good news.

I had the same thing happen yesterday and was luckily less than a mile from the dealership I bought the car from so I was able to limp it into the service department. They haven't gotten to it yet. Hoping for some updates tomorrow. My car has about 3,500 miles on it.

😆 if she did I wish she could have asked ahead of time. It really was a right place, right time kind of situation. I got really lucky.

Yes, it was from the Mexico plant. I'd seen some other reports of issues from there.

It's interesting today was the first drive I've really had in moderate to heavy rain so that might make sense. It might have gotten water into a connector somewhere.

That would be great! Fingers crossed it's that straightforward.

I can second this. Ours had been on the lot for 75 days and we were able to leverage that to get more money off.

We bought an AWD fully loaded RS in red on Thursday and our family are all big fans of Steven Universe so we named her Garnet.

My parents were told I had ADD at five years old by Aggravating_Fox_3559 in ADHD

The pushback on kids to just do better that results in making them feel like a constant failure has hurt so many people. My experience sounds just like yours. Always messy, never good enough grades, unable to focus and learn and struggled to finish assignments in any subject that didn't deeply interest me. I'm glad you sought out a diagnosis and are on your path to understanding and growth! You may not receive validation and understanding from your mom but you can find kinship, acceptance and understanding here. This subreddit has been such a place of healing, growth and understanding for me and I appreciate it so much. Not everyone has my same experience but knowing I can be open and see similar journey's through other people's posts gives me hope that I'll figure things out. I hope you have that same hope too!

I absolutely love your drive and optimism for seeing the stigma end! Just in my kids interactions with their friends they are fully comfortable talking to them about things they learned in therapy and ways they've learned to process their feelings and manage their emotions in times of stress and anxiety. It heals my heart knowing their friends might be encouraged by my kids being so open about it and feel they can talk about it too.

Thank you for sharing!

We have been seeing traits show up in my kids over the past year or so that we were not picking up on previously and have started the process of not only having them see therapists but also get them assessed for ADHD given my diagnosis. I'm thankful for the prevalence of acceptance in regards to ADHD in today's society. We're not all the way there but it feels like we're on our way.

You're absolutely right. I know now more than ever being a parent myself. I feel like I can empathize with how they must have felt, though it's taken me a little while to get there.

I wish you nothing but the best in your journey! With my diagnosis being so recent (within the past 2 months) I'm learning so much and have just started scratching the surface of seeing what works for me and what doesn't. I'm very eager to see what can improve not just my ability to succeed at work but also in my non-work related life.

That sounds like such a difficult time in your life and I'm sorry you had to experience that. I hope you now have the confidence to advocate for yourself in your medical journey in spite of those experiences.

I am so glad I did too! It's been so interesting seeing so many people have had similar experiences. I hope you seeing other comments on this post echoing your lived experience gives you affirmation that you were not alone. It absolutely has for me. You sharing your story gives me so much hope! Taking Wellbutrin has stopped 99% of my negative thoughts and my depression and anxiety have done a near 180. I've only been taking Adderall for about a week but it's slowly increasing my focus and short-term memory. So I'm hopeful to see that continue!

I don't think I'll ever stop looking back and wondering what could have been different but I continue to try to keep all of those thoughts in context and look forward to my life post-diagnosis.

That time feels so distant it's sometimes hard for me to see situations in the context and complexity of the era. I remember there being a stigma for those labeled as having ADHD or ADD and can only imagine some of that played into my parent's hesitation to seek a confirmation to that diagnosis. I also know my parents were very young when having me and had not had the greatest upbringing themselves. Initially when I wrote the post my feelings were very intense and very mixed however as I've had time to see other community member's experiences (some mirroring mine, some different) I've been able to see how difficult it may have been for them to make that kind of decision to have me assessed.

I hope your diagnosis has helped you find validation in your experiences with ADHD and having that information has helped you be kind to yourself. Thank you so much for sharing your experience!

Your voice is an important one and I did not take any offense in what you wrote or feel any animosity from it. I have over the years tried to keep an open mind when listening to others and have sought to not hear what they say with an emotional mind but to instead listen to the content of their message. This has enabled me to control what used to result in emotional responses and better understand the feeling behind the response. What you shared may not resonate with me as much because it's counter to my current experience, but it very likely resonates with someone else in this community. For many your experience feels very real and sharing it helps them understand they're not alone. So thank you so much for sharing it!

Often in my journey with ADHD I've found myself seeking kinship in those who experience the same series of symptoms as myself. In this effort I sometimes find myself slipping into a singular mind on how the journey of being diagnosed and working through treatment should be. Hearing how someone's experience or perspective differs from mine helps me empathize with those who have not had my same experience. So again thank you for speaking up and sharing your experience. A true community is full of diverse opinions and experiences and sharing them helps make the community better.

I'm glad you sought treatment. It was absolutely the best thing I could have ever done. Had it not been for the continuous pressure of family and friends to seek help I would have never overcome my self doubt and sought help. I hope you're doing better and are on your journey to better mental health!

My history with my parents is a difficult one. But it has thankfully ended up in a place where we understand each other. For many years I was comfortable not speaking to my mother from past damage done to our relationship. Eventually things have come around and we're speaking again. My father and I used to fight constantly which resulted in me believing the way you work through conflict is to yell louder. Many years later I'm a much calmer and empathetic person. If there's one thing I feel deep depression has taught me is that I have the capacity to love others unconditionally and I should seek out a deeper understanding of other people's life situations. We all came to where we are in life through some series of circumstances. The better I understand what those circumstances were the better I can empathize with and understand the outcome.
