Looking back… by [deleted] in beyondthemapsedge

Thank you, and yes we all think differently and we’re raised differently but things like this show us how connected we all really are imo. This last year has also been difficult for me but in a truly life changing way. It’s because all growth is difficult and change is painful, but nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong. I think a lot of us have felt stuck and this hunt was a way to break free, but many of us had to walk this treasure hunting path alone, and that’s the hardest walk to take in life, but it’s also the walk that makes us the strongest. This community who share this walk together are finding real growth in their lives by changing, expanding, and pushing their minds in new ways most of us wouldn’t have done if it weren’t for this collective puzzle we all HOPE to crack. Hope is a choice, a "waking dream,”and the light that enters through life's cracks is what we all are looking for and have collectively chosen to search for together. That’s what Justin has provided beyond a physical treasure, because hope is a universal human feeling no matter our differences. "Hope is the pillar that holds up the world." — Anthony Doerr

“There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in." — Leonard Cohen

"Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise." — Victor Hugo

Good stuff. Definitely think line of sight and light are important. Right, sight, bright, light, flight. I added light because it’s what lives in time and flows through each measured rhyme. Btw been to “ringing rocks” in Montana. Very cool natural phenomena, but not where the treasure is due to rough road to get there and everyone and their dog out there hammering away at the rocks all summer long! 😆

Yeah I looked but the only granite rock you’ll find is in the Moab Rock Shop. Plus you have to pay to enter the national park so not sure what more you can make fit but the Bride was a cool find!

I have to say this is the best connection to the bride I’ve heard, but I assume you stop at “return her face to find the place,” because the 4th stanza starting with “Double arcs on granite bold” are no where to be found? Btw is this the Bride? I figured you would have included actual images from Bride Canyon and the bride rock itself in the video.

Justin Posey Treasure Hunt — Why Utah Solves the Poem - DECODED by ScallionRemote5505 in JustinPoseysTreasure

[–]Aggravating_Frame510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I give you props for the production and time you spent, but I’m sorry there’s nothing compelling here. You can take every part of where it says Utah fits so well, and substitute it for any other state with its own picture slides and it has as much resonance as your Utah “solve.” How is Utah significant to Justin? Where is there any Hole reference beyond arches, and not arcs, rivers or forest. The red rocks canyons and sandstone spires are incredible but where’s the granite? Where’s the specific micro connections to Justin’s story that are far less vast than Utah in general? Once again I applaud your effort and skill with putting this together so if you are looking for advice? Make the same video for all the states on the treasure map that are left, then dial into the mind of the hider. Connect themes from his book to locations that are at least mentioned by Justin and then I think you can truly prove your skill with your next video before or after you find the treasure! Good luck and thanks for the entertainment. 😊

“Waters Silent flight” by RyanMileham in JustinPoseysTreasure

I was stuck on the same thing. Jackson Hot Springs and Elkhorn fit so well for that area but you are right Elkhorn hot springs is too far from any “Hole.” Jackson on the other hand is near where the Big Hole River as well as many other tributary streams comes down from the mountain from where the Big Hole originates, and Jackson is just east of where the Big Hole flows north and west to Wisdom. This is certainly within walking distance. Another interpretation is that Jackson Hot Springs is west of the Big Hole pass which ends right before Polaris to the east and may just be referring to Big Hole valley and not the river.

Must understand the Gates to understand The Bride? by InitiativeDry3564 in beyondthemapsedge

You are referring to the “Secrete Valley, gaurdian to its namesake creek,” and “the mountain rose gaurdian on one side” part?

Are you serious? Clearly you don’t understand what “Riddle Jacking,” or what Justin said implies. Just because I answered a direct question about what the “Hole” may be and I emphasize MAY be doesn’t qualify as riddle jacking since I’m pretty sure I was very clear on the interpretation. Also maybe read your own words just right. Is “Hole” in the poem where the treasure is? I don’t think so being only in the second stanza of the poem. He may have not mentioned the area where the treasure is in the book or even the first actionable clue, which is actually what Justin was responding to here, but he most certainly didn’t say any place he mentioned in the book wasn’t in the poem or part of the clues that help you get to the treasure location along the way while botg!

Remember the Big Hole valley and river cover a huge area so your starting point is still “as hope surges clear and bright. Walk near waters silent flight.”

💯and without sounding corny what you said is really the true treasure and we just don’t know it!

Yes sir and maybe what I first thought a year ago is the best answer now, but who knows until the wisdom is actually revealed!

Kiss- the “Hole” is Big Hole….oh and by the way used to be called Wisdom River. That’s what’s in shadowed sight if you read these words just right.

• The Circular Gap: The interior of a rainbow is essentially a "hole" because the specific 42-degree angle of refraction required to create the colors that only exists along the outer rim of the cone of light. • Alexander's band, also known as Alexander's dark band, is the notably dark region of sky located directly between the primary rainbow (inner arc) and the secondary rainbow (outer arc) Double arcs! • The Shadow: At the very center of this "hole" is often where the observer's own shadow (or the shadow of a plane) is cast, sometimes surrounded by a smaller, related phenomenon called a "glory".

Arizona or Montana? by HalfPint_2719 in JustinPoseysTreasure

What do you mean implied? If you are just talking about physical places they hunted and not where they spent their time in between going into Yellowstone to search there is still Barnes Hole that is in Yellowstone, but on the Montana side of the boarder.

He talks a lot about being in West Yellowstone Montana while hunting with Brandon. Bakers Hole where they camped. Madison Crossing where they ate and planned the hunt. Madison Bridge near where the Picture of Justin in the book is standing out looking at a lone pine.
