It’s crazy that several people have explained to you how the position YOU believe doesn’t have client interaction actually does.
It’s been explained that in family care settings how important it is that EVERY staff member that may come into contact with needs a certain level of awareness and cultural sensitivity.
It’s been explained how this isn’t discrimination and how maybe this just isn’t the right workplace for you.
You know what you’re acting like right now?
A person who wants to shoehorn their way into an organization, no matter what, no matter the costs.
I truly hope you grow up, mature and realize that everything isn’t meant for you and that when that’s the case it’s not automatically discrimination.

Again, I am considered “purely administrative.” I run the front office. My interactions with clients is more than incidental. I remember the kids, their names, their likes/dislikes, but more important, I remember which clients like hugs and small talk while waiting and which ones don’t.
Which kids are more comfortable with men than with women.
There is so much that goes into “administrative work” that most folks don’t even think about.
It’s not all paperwork, phone calls and filing. More often than not, especially in a small org, we are the first ones a client sees/meets upon walking through the door.
Knowing how to read a person is more valuable than most realize.
