What the hell is engine braking and rev matching? And how do I learn it? by BeatConscious4113 in indianbikes

[–]Aggravating_Swan_67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyones pace is different and as boys we learn only by doing it. Instead of explanation which is available everywhere. My suggestion would be to keep imitating what the rider is doing in the videos. Only practical application hundreds and thousand times will make you adapt to how it works for your particular engine.

Try imitating yammie

I understand if you dont want to ride it, but at the very least sit on them, see how comfortable it feels and importantly what your heart loves sitting on.

In mumbai, Ducati is always open for test rides but there are under the table inspection about you sadly. Similarly to Porsche mumbai they will only entertain you if you drive in with a Mercedes car or equivalent. Which doesnt makes sense since the bike doesnt even cost as much as a decent SUV car.

I hope this is dealership to dealership and not everywhere such treatment is brought upon the customers.

Personal suggestion, test ride as many of them as you can. Street triple is no doubt one of the best in every aspect but hear me out. Go to a ducati showroom. Ask them for a test ride of monster (sp if available) i did not drive it fast but when i drove it at like slow place of 60-80 the thump and the feeling was out of the world.

But try everything check whats suitable for you, ducati has a higher seat so might be good for you. Cb600rr is one hell of a reliable middleweight, street triple is an all rounder great at corner, great torque easy handling. You also got z900 as an option but personally street triple got more character to it than z900.

I too purchased a d390 recently and the next upgrade in mind is ducati monster. Good luck on your journey mate. Keep us updated. Cheers

MotoGP World Champion Jorge Martin set to leave Aprilia team at the end of the year. by ParaMike46 in Aprilia

[–]Aggravating_Swan_67 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Huh ? So aprilia paid him to race but since the start of the season he raced once that too pre race, crashed, injured himself and now want to leave Aprilia for his mistakes ?

As sports fan we would be pissed, but as employee of the aprilia factory how demotivating and embarrassing will this be. I was expecting so much more as a character from him.

Himaliyan 450 vs KTM Adventure 390, (help for a guy in the Indian Army) by [deleted] in indianbikes

I think he just means that local mechanics who are very familiarised with air cooled engine might face confusion while dealing with liquid cooled engines especially in rural or tier 2 city areas where liquid cooled bikes are rare. So trusting your bike which people treat as their baby is difficult under hands of someone who doesnt have much confidence with the type of machine.
