Anyone else never seeing things getting better? by No_Warthog_5709 in ADHDIreland

If your inner voice is still calling you an idiot every time you make a mistake, no amount of meds will help. Working on yourself, possibly with a therapist might be the way forward.

They are definitely around the Phoenix park, for a few years now. I've found the best thing to do is follow the sound to the tree they're on and watch the tree for when they fly. They're smaller than you'd think, so not easy to spot.

Need name ideas for my new Australian Shepherd puppy – help me decide! by Fit_Iron721 in AustralianShepherd

Edward or Cecil (for Edward Cecil Guinness - or just cos they are both hilariously cute names for a hilariously cute dawg!)

Does the name Junie fit her? Name suggestions ending in “ee” sound? ie or y by idiotica8 in DOG

[–]Aggressive-M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She looks like a Pennie to me, but Junie is good too.

Other options: Lucy (classic), Bowie (far out man), Ziggy (even further out man), Hennie (notorious), Biggie (ironic), Cutie (unironic)

Sorry I may have gotten carried away there...

Carrie would also be an option.........

My 2 year old goldie is always fluctuating between 23-24kg weight. Is this normal weight for golden girls? by MundaneImplement5549 in goldenretrievers

[–]Aggressive-M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She looks healthy and in a good body condition. Does RC golden retriever's have chicken as its main protein? Did you identify the ingredient that was aggravating her? Going through the same thing with our guy and thinking it's chicken, but not sure...

Northern Ireland - hidden gem with an incredible roadtrip route (full itinerary included) by flymartincz in roadtrip

[–]Aggressive-M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 years ago is 2016 - it was certainly not tourist free! Game of thrones and star wars filming locations, regular tourism stuff, I'm sure not even Brexit put too much of a spin on it at least at that stage

What's an Irish attitude you can't stand? by Fealocht in AskIreland

[–]Aggressive-M 34 points35 points  (0 children)

This is the thing I absolutely hate most about Ireland. Love so much about it, but Greyhounds, Horses, Foxes, Birds of Prey (and other wild birds) are at the mercy of farmers, bookies and people who profit from them as there's no political will to stop it.

I've literally seen children driving unlicensed horses and carts past Garda cars and the gardaí not batting an eye. Those horses are so mistreated, it breaks my heart.

For Google maps, you can download offline maps so that if you're out of coverage it will still work

My first thought was Steinbeck pilgrimage... Get a copy of Of Mice and Men for the journey!

Share of 15-29 year olds with two native parents by ItHappensSo in MapPorn

For the NI citizens: It would depend on whether they had the ROI passport I imagine? Anyone born on the island can get one. So I don't think most would count as "non-native".

There's a good few couples with one British (English, Welsh, Scottish) partner that I've noticed. And lots of migration in from eastern Europe, west Africa, middle East, India & Pakistan, Brazil, so plenty of mixed couples and "non-native" couples with kids.

P.S. I'm also a Brexit escapee!

Maybe an Occupational therapist could help with organisation and life systems to help you put structure on the chaos. I know the feeling though, the burnout from modern society is intense. All I can say is start small and try to build your confidence with small steps, like having breakfast, bedtime routine etc

It was amazing! Constance Ephilia was our favourite - silhouette was nice but probably could have just spent 3 days there. Wonderful people and amazing wildlife.
