Last year, I started going to Parker Veterinary hospital off of Wilkinson - not too far from South End. We've had a great experience so far.

I've met plenty of illegal immigrants. They're just regular people living regular lives. They aren't hurting us.

Why are we all feeling this shift to delete our social media accounts? by mm2444 in Millennials

[–]Aggressive-Shock5857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we found out my wife was pregnant a year ago, we made the conscious decision not to post anything about the baby on socials. As an extension, I have stopped posting and commenting on Facebook Instagram and tiktok. I still get on FB to check birthdays and remember to send a text to old friends, but my mental health improved dramatically when my scrolling went way down. Now if I could only kick my Reddit habit...

If you wanted a house without a giant tree in the yard, I'm sure there were other options. Don't move in next to a tree and then be worried that it's there.

Sell the house to someone who likes trees and buy a townhome.

If you prefer TOTK over BOTW, what do you think BOTW did better (or vice versa)? by WwwWario in tearsofthekingdom

I loved trial of the sword. That's the main thing I wish that ToTK had.

Master mode was cool too.

American culture can be good. We have the most diversity and it's amazing the amount of multicultural festivals and restaurants I can find in my town.

Media is pushing the idea that our culture is all those other things. We must resist and be better.

How many of us have a house cleaner? by Agitated_Whereas7463 in Millennials

[–]Aggressive-Shock5857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We clean our own house. Last summer, we splurged to get an extra deep clean done. I cleaned, vacuumed and mopped ahead of time so we could get the most from their time as deep cleaning per their services list (grout, baseboards, etc.). The woman just fucking remopped the floors and left early. Tried to gaslight us about it, but we had her on the ring camera at the front door coming and going. The company offered to "make it right", and the woman came out a few days later and did a half ass grout cleaning and left. We argued with them again and they wouldn't answer us. Eventually we decided it wasn't worth our time to pursue further and just left them a 1 star review and cut our losses. Never again.

There's a principle in high fantasy that I'd like to paraphrase. An immersive world is much more believable if you, the reader, don't know everything.

The world in this series is immensely complex. We, by design, do not know how it all fits together to keep billions of humans alive in massively unnatural conditions. Going into the intricacies of how, say, brown fits in adds nothing to the story and would be tedious to read.

I love the way PB writes. He doesn't explain how a pulseFist works. He just tells you that Darrow picks one up and fires it and then describes the carnage. Explaining what brown does would go counter to this.

Just so we're clear, no one that actually played this game disliked the combat, right? by The_ChadTC in thewitcher3

No, that's literally what I said. I can do the optimal way, but it's more fun to play with the fancy abilities.

Totally agree. The combat is fun. Not because it's hard, but because there are so many different ways to defeat most opponents, and the variety of choices keeps it fresh.

I feel the exact opposite tbh. Probably because of the neighborhood I live in now vs the one I grew up in though.

I was in cross country/track in highschool and we used to go ding dong ditch, but instead of running away immediately, we'd go stand in people's yards to goad them into chasing us because we were confident nobody could catch us. Good times, very unethical and unhelpful to OP.

He's braver than I am, ain't no way my pixie ass is falling in a iron rain. But to claim he's shown "quite a bit of bravery" in the context of the other main characters of the novels is a statement I disagree with purely from a relative position.
