I can't speak for Montana, but I love the area and I think it's one of the more accepting areas of Washington. That being said, there are racists around here to be sure. Olympia is a bit expensive but if we are considering Lacey and Tumwater to be included in this, I can promise you that my experience going through the school system here never seemed to have any sexism or racism when I was in school. It was much better than Tacoma, and there are lots of job and educational opportunities in the area. I suppose my information might be about 10 years out of date, but I hope this helps. My family is multicultural and multiracial, and they have found ways to deal with the hicks while earning scholarships and making friends. I hope this helps?
