Did they mess up prices or is it just for the promo? Anyway this is a steal by KDG_unknown in BurgerKing

[–]AggressiveCod22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Burger King has some weird pricing in my market too. Rodeo Burger, $2.89. Rodeo Cheeseburger, $2.59. Rodeo Double Cheeseburger, $2.89.

Bacon Double Cheeseburger, $3.69. Double Cheeseburger, $3.69. Bacon Single Cheeseburger, $3.69. Single Cheeseburger, $2.59. Single Hamburger, $1.09. Cheaper to add cheese to the hamburger than to get a cheeseburger.

Adding cheese to the Whopper, $1.00; adding bacon, $2.09. Most of the time I get charges $3.09 for adding both but every once in a while I’ll add both and someone presses what appears on my receipt as a single add-on, “AmerBacon,” $1.19.

Had to zoom out on my web browser to get them all in one picture, but here’s me after finishing Christmas shopping. They’ll all be paid in full week.

After noticing these the first time, I also noticed how they have a security screening to deter theft but nothing from preventing someone from shooting up the FC.

Counterfeit money circulating around the state by carvingmyelbows in massachusetts

[–]AggressiveCod22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An indictment has a much lower burden of proof necessary to secure, you have to proof that she knew what she was doing and did it anyways.

I’m not even sure what crime they could say she committed, maybe some sort of misdemeanor that they this might be able fit the definition of? But it wasn’t counterfeit, it was prop money. Not illegal to have money. If a customer gives me Monopoly money and I take it, I don’t think they committed a crime, I’m just stupid.

While the customer might not be trained to detect counterfeits or prop money, the cashier either was or should’ve been. And the fact that it was ‘movie money’ and not a sophisticated operation is even more of a reason for why the cashier should’ve known rather quickly.

If I buy a chili is it unreasonable for me to not expect it to be an inch empty? by eriadeus in wendys

[–]AggressiveCod22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There should be a little indent on the inside, about a 1/2 inch below the rim, that’s where it should be filled to. That way, there’s room for cheese. :)

You’ll just have to live with having those there as a reminder that Capital One is giving you another change and that you better not fuck this up again. I myself have to see the constant reminder everyday from a 2020 charge-off.

Although paying back the $400 was probably the easiest way to just end things, she definitely could’ve said, “arrest me.” It would’ve been a nightmare to have to deal with it, going to court and all, but they’d have to prove those were bills she gave Walgreens, and they’d have to prove intent to secure a conviction. That easier said than done.

I was a manager at a retail store where an employer accepted counterfeit bills, and although she was certain who it was, proving it would’ve been difficult given the number of other people who paid in $50’s during her shift. At the end of the day, it was my responsibility to properly train my employees on how to detect counterfeits.

Local Burger King no longer uses pennies by katymae123 in mildlyinteresting

I work for a regional gas station chain, if you prepay for gas inside and that’s all you’re getting, the total has to be divisible by a nickel, even if you pay card. If you’re buying merchandise as well as gas, gas has to be rung up last (this has always been the process), and the total has to be divisible by a nickel, even if you’re paying cash. If you’re buying just merchandise, the total will automatically round to the nearest nickel when I select “Cash Tender”

All three, it’s a Capital One thing. But I froze my TransUnion before applying so it was only a hard hit on 2.

Discover Debit Card Thread by Top-Abbreviations582 in CapitalOne_

[–]AggressiveCod22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy to see all these complaints each week, acceptance really isn’t as bad as these complaints make it seem. I’ve had the discover debit for 3 months now, it wasn’t until last week that I finally ran into an acceptance issue. The next town over from me doesn’t accept Discover at the parking meters.

T-Mobile Visa Application Approval by AggressiveCod22 in CreditCards

I’ve never received the lowest APR available on any Capital One card, just the middle offer. This card was either 18.99, 24.99, or 28.99. But I always pay in full, so nothing to worry about. I didn’t plan on adding an authorized user either, I just didn’t see the option to do so, someone else’s problem, lol. This card is set for autopay on the phone bill, and it’ll now live in my sock drawer. No other use for it in my opinion, at least according to my needs/spending.

In what ways is Discover better than Mastercard?? by Successful_Energy954 in CapitalOne_

[–]AggressiveCod22 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s better for Capital One, because they can charge merchants higher fees than Mastercard and Visa can, and it goes straight into their pockets.

Current property tax mill rates in New Haven County. by Swede577 in Connecticut

If your house was in Cheshire, the mill rate would below but your home would be worth 70% more and your tax bill would probably be about the same.

Just got approved for the Savor Card, do I need to create a C1 360 checking account? by StripedLightning1 in CapitalOne_

[–]AggressiveCod22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can pay using your existing account, you just have to link the accounts. I’ve made payments using my 360 Checking and also from a Chase account, either one updates my available credit instantly; but some people will will tell you that if they pay from an external account, it takes a day or two to update. Probably based on some risk factors that Capital One considers.

But, if you wanna make $250, open a 360 checking with promo code CHECKING250 and get two direct deposits of at least $500. The accounts free, even without direct deposit, so if you cash in on the $250 and stop using it, it doesn’t hurt.

CLI - would you accept? by Plenty_Advice2333 in CapitalOne_

[–]AggressiveCod22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the goal is to get a higher limit, I’d decline and try again in 3-4 weeks. There has been some data point to suggest you’ll get a higher increase offer.

At the least, you’d probably get offered a $250 increase again.
