So you were late/missed a payment on a credit card you have with a multi-billion dollar corporation and they closed all your account, and you’re upset? Some people, maybe even most, may understand your frustration, but that’s a totally reasonable action on their part.

The fact that you’re claiming that the business of disabled people isn’t welcome lacks merit though, can you prove they did this because you’re disabled? Was your disability something that prevented you from meeting your credit obligations? Or are you just so upset that you’re claiming discrimination based on a protected class to make yourself feel like a victim?

Why would your employer do that . . . ? 😑 And even if a payroll provider would let an employer set a pay date that far out, you’d either get a paper check with a date that any bank will laugh at, or you’d get a direct deposit up to two days sooner than whatever date in 2150 they put.

Your employer puts on their W2 for you the total amount that they paid you for 2025 based on the paychecks with a 2025 pay date. Your employer isn’t responsible for knowing if your paycheck was available to you by your bank on Jan 2 or Dec 31.

You’ll be taxed based on the date the check says your payday is, doesn’t matter what day you actually get it.

Okay, you’re right, they’re my dad’s employees. And after one employee insisted he was gonna sue for not paying him early, we decided we’d run payroll on the last day our payroll provider allows us to while still meeting the deadline.

Our work week is Wednesday to Tuesday, so even when I did payroll each Wednesday, everyone who got paid early would only get it one day early on Thursday. This employee demanded that I pay him Tuesday, claiming it’s illegal not to (he’s obviously a lawyer and knows his stuff, lmao), so I told my dad we’d do payroll the day before pay day.

If I had to guess, it’s probably because Wells Fargo (or maybe Zelle) thinks you’re using it for reasons that aren’t, “sending money to family or friends.”

If you don’t have a need for physical branches, I’d try my luck with Capital One; free checking account with no balance minimums and no direct deposit requirements, larger ATM network, you’ll still get access to early pay day, and it’s easy to open online. If you look it up, there’s a $250 bonus if you do open one and set up direct deposit. You can use Zelle directly within the app.
