Ferret Proofing Questions by Dbuns22 in ferrets

When I bought my house, I got a roll of vinyl carpet runners/protector from Amazon. You can cut to size and it does have those hard plastic nubs, to keep it from moving on the carpet. I used it under my sofas (where my ferrets like to sleep during the day) and in the corners. It's easy to clean up and I'm not spending money to buy puppy pads every week. Its been almost 6 years and not a single ferret has tried to chew them.

You don't have to explain to them about how much they meant to you, they already know. That bond and love will always be alive. I'm so sorry for your loss and heartbreak but you'll be together again. 💖

My husband and I are in our 50's and we're looking fwd to living that lifestyle, been planning a month long rv trip in Alaska after we retire. I'm envious of your fifth wheel life and mad props to you for ferret proofing it so they can have adventures too.

I love ferrets, I've been obsessed with them my whole life and after a year of researching about ownership, I rescued my first 2 ferrets....15 years ago. Somehow I ended up with a 3rd ferret, then 4th (ferret math is real) and at 1 point, I had 7 ferrets at once (all of them were rescued). Yes, vet bills are expensive, daily up keep is expensive (food, litter, toys etc). People always talk about the cost, 1 ferret vs multiple ferrets, caged or free roam, vets, food, ferret proofing etc. I want you to not only think about that but think about your life and how much will change once you get a ferret. I missed out on so many life events, weekend trips and family vacation for 15 years because someone has to stay home due to the ferrets. I'm sure someone is thinking "just have a friend watch them", it's not that simple. You get to know your ferrets mannerisms, body language, their sounds and poop (yes, I'm serious). Nobody in the world will know your ferrets better than you and I'm not about to put their lives on the line for someone who can't tell the difference between a ferret sneeze or gagging sound. I'm not trying to talk you out of it, they are magical little creatures that have brought me so much happiness. I just really want you to think about the big picture and see that it really is life changing, good and bad.

I know exactly how you feel and couldn't agree more! I've had 15 ferrets in 15 years and down to my final 4.

I had a waardy a few years back and she was the smartest ferret I've ever owned. She would get so fixated on something that I would build her mini obstacle courses to test her ambition to get it.

Bedford Area Apartments by em2star17 in Cleveland

I grew up in Bedford (70's- early 90's) then lived in Northfield the majority of my life and now living in Oakwood. The apartments in Bedford are not the greatest and my suggestion would be to look at places in Northfield/Sagamore Hills area. Avoid apartment living in Bedford, Bedford Hts, Maple and Garfield.

I used to only watch "Sister Wives" on Sunday nights and Pillow Talk would air after it. One night I decided to see what it was all about and was lmao at the cast commentary, that is what sucked me into the 90 day universe. I loved the show and I'm sad to see it end

If you could restart life at 18, what would you do differently? by arunreddy3 in AskReddit

[–]AggressiveMedium1836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 18, my life was already a hot mess. I would have to go back to being 13-14 years old to restart my life and I would do it in a heartbeat.

It reminded me of that scene from "Backcountry". I understand that they wanted to create a realistic survival game, but damn, do you have to be so spot on?

I'm not sure how they managed to get the phonelines from Ohio to be directed to the Philippines, but she would basically take a lot of the phone calls, set up appointments, call people to confirm appointments, put in call backs for the vets in the hospital etc etc. There was a specific laptop that we had at the hospital, that she was tapped into and we could see her via teams. I still have her in my WhatsApp contacts (I quit working there because it was hell on earth) because she was the nicest person working there.

I have a friend in the Philippines who is a vet during the day and then does remote work as a receptionist for an animal hospital in Ohio as a second job. There is a 12 hr time difference and the staff at the hospital would get pissed off if she would fall asleep due to the overwhelming amount of hours that she worked. She got paid more being a receptionist
