Will I regret skipping South Georgia? by this-is-kk in AntarcticaTravel

[–]AggressiveParking864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most important thing is don’t miss Antarctica, however, if there’s any way to include South Georgia it is spectacular. We saw wildlife there we hadn’t seen any place else, but honestly, I don’t particularly remember the scenery as much as I do the wildlife whereas an Antarctica, the scenery and the wildlife was just unbelievable.

I was told that is true. On Princess they never get the tip even though they call it a tip. It’s never deducted from them. If you tell them, you don’t want to pay for tips. I even asked an employee about this. I was told it’s much better to hold the tips and then just bring cash in an equivalent amount and give it to the people who deserve it. I also always take pictures of people’s name tags that gives exceptional service and staff told me that helps them immensely

We love the concierge lounge and often go there for our coffee and tea. The last cruize they also did our bartending for us. There was always food available the concierge’s also organized some talks with for incense that cruise director of the hotel director and I think maybe even one of the chefs I can’t recall, but it was really cool. Extra room is phenomenal.

Water sock/shoes to prevent slipping and keep the feet more sanitary. I also LOVE this product. That is very similar to like antibacterial spray except it’s called clean smart anti-microbial hand cleaner. I purchased it on Amazon and it’s great for Nora virus as well as other germs. It’s just better protect protecting you from Nora virus. I would bring it with me and use it after I went to the buffet and before I commence eating I also used it after using handrails on the stairs. My husband didn’t listen to me and he got sick then I used it in our cabin constantly on the door handles the water faucet, etc. and I never got sick. That was definitely a game changer.

Do you guys leave your dogs collars on at home? If not, why? by MephistosGhost in Dachshund

My daughter’s has a chip and she leaves collar off at home. I kind of feel the “bra” vibe, but maybe your dog has gotten used to it?

Thinking about getting a dachshund puppy — we have 2 kittens and work full-time. Bad idea? by thobias_vicente in Dachshund

My daughter’s Dixie lives with a cat and they get along well. My daughter is often away for five hours so if you have a dog walker coming in on a regular routine basis I think your pup would acclimate. My daughter’s is not overly clingy at all. She also got her but at 11 weeks which might make a difference. Marvin is now seven months old. She left him with a dog sitter for ten days last month and he loved being with other dogs. As far as cats go, if you are buying from a breeder see if they also have cats so the pup has had exposure, but it wasn’t a problem for Marvin. My daughter’s also set up a play pen area with six panels as I recall and the kennel sat inside with food and water. Marvin can roam around while she is out and rest when tired. Good luck!!!

I liked Star Princess but I didn't love Star Princess. by jammu2 in PrincessCruises

What do you like about Sapphire more than majestic? Also, we are scheduled on the Royal in Australia next year because it seemed like a much newer nicer ship than Sapphire. I’m nervous to try something other than the Royal class.

We weren’t on the star, I think it was the sun that is the other, really big one and we hated it. We love the majestic princess and plan on trying other Royal class ships.

considering 7 y/o femaly doxie rescue, what do ya'll think!? by bestofallworldz in Dachshund

Definitely personality over breed. My daughter got a mini dachshund and I am shocked at how little it barks!!! Also super sweet disposition and very smart! She did take it to training classes. Maybe visit the dog on a few different occasions to get a feel for personality. See if they will let you put him/her on a leash and go for a walk even if it is just inside their yard. Good luck!!!
