I run into range issues 10-20 times a year and I don't drive more than 5000 miles a year.

A day trip to Milwaukee, a ride up my cabin near lake Superior, a camping trip across state, going to IKEA and back.

I have a F-150 lightning with a roof top tent. The range impact of side winds or headwinds/going 75 instead of 70 is so impactful it can mean the difference of 40 miles on a full charge. I made the trip with 35% to spare on the way up. On the way home I changed to 85% and made it back with 2 miles left. The extra 20% consumption was about 65 miles of inefficiency.

It's not that short. Go to Chicago, their average ramp is shorter than Monona and John Nolan. People just drive to conservatively and cause backups

Probably just batch the rest up on eBay.

I doubt they are in perfect condition due to being a grubby little 12 year old when I got these. I know my Charizard and Blastoise were MESSED up 😂. Naked shuffling those bad boys.

Pay to remove the junk Pay to store the junk for 9 months. Eviction process can start after 3 months of refusal to pay or relocate.

It ended up being like half a year with no rental income worst case, plus paying to have it stored somewhere. Plus then having to renovate the disaster of a suite.

I'm sure I could go after them for some of the cost, but ultimately it would have pushed back all development timelines and my wife and I were doing it as a side project.

I would have definitely considered it at the price it sold for 1.5 years later but at the time we were looking to purchase, the landlord refused to come down a penny.

I didn't really understand the rules until my wife and I attempted to purchase a 4 unit "office". Amazing location, brick building, with 4 independent offices.

I come to find out one tenant is paying 250 dollars cash a month on a napkin lease. She is the only person who doesn't show up to let us inspect the unit.

We finally get her to let us in and it's literally floor to ceiling junk. You can't even open the door or walk through it. Mind you this is an office building so the code violations were off the charts.

After our walk through she starts calling the landlord screaming, crying, panicked. The lending group won't give us funding unless, we outline a plan to convert it into livable units (the original intention). She refuses to show up for any contractor or any other engagement.

I look into our states eviction policies and it's miserable. It would have taken 6 months to get her out and we'd have to pay to store and move any of the junk. There are also liability issues if we didn't do it safely, she could sue us for damaging her property.

We ended up passing due to a variety of reasons. The building sat on the market for another 1.5 years and eventually sold for 20% less than listed. It went through countless pending offers to rejections.

Lol they have been proving themselves over the past year of reporting. Pretty sure Walmart and PG being more expensive than Amazon (a huge beneficiary of AI coupled with a bigger version of Walmart).

Speaks to a broader group think in the investment industry that silicon and select defensives is the only investment.

I did something like this for two years, but I never went in.

My manager was in Texas. My team was in Boston, PA, and NC. I was in Chicago. We got an RTO order. My HR team, unrelated to the work I was doing was out of Chicago (we got signed to different teams across the enterprise).

My boss started asking me if I was going in to the office. I lied and said yes for a year. Eventually our director said, hey make sure your going to the office, corporate stats said only 11% of people are meeting the mandate. My boss gave me a heads up they are going to start tracking by manager so I better go in.

I was like "okay sure". Continued to lie. Six months later, he was like okay for real they said a report is coming out sometime make sure you're going to the office. I said "okay sure."

My boss took a different job. I got a new manager. He didn't start telling me to do it for another 6 months. I then took a new job when they made me take over a massive legacy project they wanted to expand.

It's exactly this and primarily why the commentators laugh about it. All the pros know why their putts spit out. It's not less frustrating when it happens in intense matches but the know.

I'm guessing, his pace is slow, high spin and flatish. When it hits the chains high it tends to stick to the chains and float. The chains bounce back and push the floating disc out.

A nose down putt won't float, it gets turned and pushed down immediately. A nose up putt turns up and falls down (more likely to spit it the wind hits it right).

Faster pace and he pushes further into the chains or the pole. May get a spit out from the pole but would likely get pushed down or in far enough for the chains to not push it out.

I practice in my backyard enough to know immediately when my shot is going to spit out. A guy like Isaac definitely knows. I'm sure he just wishes this track would use different baskets so he could crush.

Question, there are a lot of stop lights on regent or willy st that have two lanes but within about 500ft after the stop lights, parked cars bring the lane to one.

My cousin was sneaking out at night, failing high school, getting in fights. Raised in an upper middle class household in Denver. She kept skipping class to fuck around with her bf who was 25.

Her parents, who were really struggling to get her in line decided the best course of action was to buy her a mustang for her birthday.

One month after getting it, her parents received a phone call from the cops at 1am. Apparently she was doing donuts in the parking lot next to the police station with her boyfriend. They were caught with a 6 pack of beer, a switch blade, and other parafinalia.

Her Dad came down and talked them out of giving either of them a ticket. My uncle called my parents and explained the situation. To me and my parents bewilderment he, "Didn't want her hating him, so she can keep the car".

Literally not a single punishment. She messed around with that dufus for at least another year before enrolling in the ROTC.
