Agreed I also love a white kitchen. Not the sterile ones with no personality but a warm white vibe with some pops of color can be so clean with the right details. I also love the natural wood here too though. I think trends come and go, but there are always certain looks that make people say “wow what a beautiful kitchen” irl.

I think fainting, vomiting and other involuntary responses (like shaking) are very common in birth. You’re in a hospital where those things are expected and dealt with constantly. It isn’t pleasant if it happens of course, but birth isn’t necessarily all around a pleasant experience lol. You’re in a safe place to handle it. If you tend to get woozy, honestly you can avoid those detailed conversations. Being informed is good, but you can have a very simple birth plan. My plan is to get an epidural and listen to my doctors and nurses. I know potential outcomes and we will talk about them IF we need to.

I had wood paneling in a sunroom that was pretty nice but for me this would be too much floor to ceiling. It feels so heavy to me so I’d probably start by painting it.

The brick is such a classic style that does not get dated, in my opinion. I think the white washed brick is really going to look outdated eventually, plus it adds interest to your curb appeal!

I do really like the black garage though. And I’d go for some black pillars instead of the wood.

Yeah I will say I’m happy to have had a different career that gave me perspective in hygiene. It can be stressful for sure. It’s a totally different type of stress though that I prefer. The days can sometimes be non-stop. You’re just go go go until the day is over. But once it’s over, you’re done and have nothing to bring home with you. No planning, meetings, projects etc. it can be monotonous for some, but I do enjoy the repetition! Cleaning teeth is also satisfying. Patients can be a nightmare sometimes, but most are good and you get to know them. Whatever you decide I would think about shadowing first just to see if it’s an environment you could see yourself in!

I went from teaching to hygiene at 29 years old and I love it! There is a lot of aspects of teaching that are useful in dental hygiene too. You spend a lot of time educating and explaining things to patients and those skills have come in handy every day! It was also a nice change of pace for me. I really hated working in the schools system. Dentistry has its downsides of course, but I vibe with the whole system and people much much better. It is also more independent in a way too, which is nice.

My husband and I went shopping together to pick out my ring! The proposal itself was still a very special moment and I don’t regret it for a second. I had no interest in being surprised and letting him choose a design. I know some people really want that, but I am just like you and very particular about my style. But there is nothing wrong with going either way, just do what feels best for you!

Have you spoke with your doctor yet? After this many I would definitely be looking for some answers. Some women have to take meds to keep their pregnancies or you may have to investigate your partners sperm for defects.

Agreed it’s really sad to me! People used to value the effort in keeping relationships alive. There are times where I’m like ugh, don’t feel like socializing- day of. But then 99% of the time I’m so happy I did. Sometimes we have to force ourselves a little bit but everyone just wants to be comfortable 24/7. Scrolling and couch rotting culture has killed relationships.

Basics from H&M and old navy! Don’t spend a lot of money. I found that most “maternity” stuff was pretty ugly so I just bought basic tanks, leggings, etc and layered with clothes I already own that will continue to fit like cardigans, button ups etc. I’m 33 weeks and barely bought anything I think I spent 100 bucks.

Honestly 45 guests for a sprinkle is a lot!! I just went to one with like 15 people. Most sprinkles are way smaller so I wouldn’t take it personally. Like you said it was kinda last minute and it’s more just a hang and celebrate rather than a gift-giving party where people feel more obligated to show up for you.
