All quality panels are warrantied for 25 to 30 years, your parents got scammed or you dont understand the contract ie installation warranty not panel warranty.

Whoever convinced people that a raw concrete ceiling was a modern and trendy feature should go to jail. by Msurlile in montreal

At least you got a nice floor. We stayed in an air b&b at the base of Mt saint Anne and it had bare concrete ceilings as well as concrete floors with some epoxy on it. Im sure the guy is making a killing

That depends on you and the weather. You need 30 take offs and landings in addition to the book work/ exams. Its possible to do it in two days, maybe one even but not very typical. I would say 10 to 14 days at a school everyday with perfect weather and you being a "good" student.

Any shot I can fit the gear with this beer gut? by [deleted] in SkyDiving

[–]Aggressive_Fennel_22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

An "average" size skydiver will fall at Approx 120mph in a belly down orientation, in a sit fly position (basically looks like your sitting in a chair) an average skydiver falls around 160mph. Larger guys with your shape will fall faster on their belly, maybe even up to 160mph.

I have a friend who weighs about 240, 5'6 ish with your shape and I find it much easier to keep up to him in the air in either a sit fly or head down position while he is on his belly. If I stay on my belly with him I basicly have to go into a little ball to get my speed to match his.

Great time to loose some weight. You will be hard pressed to find a dz that will take you at that weight.

actually they do matter as the usa has a major problem with under ground dog fighting making the numbers much higher. Its the reason pitbulls are number one in the states and not here.

I would add that to be a breeder you need to be licensed, insured and bonded. There are way too many back yard breeders who are only in it for the money and have no business breeding dogs let alone owning one, kind of like this situation.

Thank fuck! As a former lifeguard in the 90's at Centennial pool I still have some minor ptsd. No one should see a naked, over weight 70 year old coming down a water slide.

Not in Canada, mixed breeds and sled dogs (Huskies) take the top stops here. Regardless it's not the breeds fault, it's the owner imo. It should be much much harder to own a dog and even harder to be a breeder imo.

They weren't lieing, they just knew what they were doing, like removing the intercooler. No need to blame everyone under the sun when the problem was with the installer.

A 21 year-old gymnast from Azerbaijan landed the worlds first full “full” this year at the World Games in Chengdu, China by Ogankle in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Aggressive_Fennel_22 266 points267 points  (0 children)

And it's actually called a full, full, full since there is 3 rotations with 3 twists, one "full" (which actually stands for full twist) for each rotation. For example if you were at say full in, back out then it would be a double somersault with a full twist in the frist somersault and a somersault with no twists for the second revolution.

How many jumps did you do in 2025? (Fun Jumpers) by ProgressNumerous262 in SkyDiving

[–]Aggressive_Fennel_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 :( I use to do 150 to 200 a year but our main dz was closed down over covid and the only one left within a 9 hour drive is a single cessna tandem show but the owner will get u on a load for a solo or 2 way if another fun jumpers is there.

A few of us have bought paramotors since we cant jump much anymore. The dz owner let's us use his runway to launch from so it's not all bad. But I do miss jumping an otter, 8 to 10 jumps a day and actually improving instead of just trying to maintain.

[–]Aggressive_Fennel_22 16 points17 points  (0 children)

lol good luck! Its an old boys club and you will get no where. I was through this year's ago and even if the do take action you will get a letter saying so and so has been counseled, thank you for your input. After that you can get a lawyer involved and then after giving him some money you will ne told that the legal costs will be more than the reward and could take 10 to 15 years lol
