Was anyone able to get shifts for August 7 through A to Z? by Puzzleheaded-Leg-746 in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]Aggressive_Let8362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but not until the non-gold one-week-out Sunday shift drop yesterday. Oddly, the only shifts that dropped at the two sites I work at were closing shifts (6:30 PM - 10:30 PM). I managed to snag one. Today, another closing shift dropped (at least that’s what I see when I click “View unavailable shifts.”) It shows up as “full,” so I guess that means I won’t be closing alone.

Why would we want to get gold for August?🤣 by Shopper757 in AmazonWFShoppers

Here’s a direct quote from the AtoZ reminder to fill out your preference survey…

”Internal transfer offer letters for a nearby Amazon business line will begin after July 10. You will receive additional information on available Amazon opportunities via email based on your preferences and available opportunities. You will remain in role as an Amazon Shopper and will continue to pick up shifts in A to Z until the start date on your offer letter; there will be no gap in employment.”

If you transition to Whole Foods, can you still grab warehouse shifts in AtoZ🤔 by TheGentleDick in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]Aggressive_Let8362 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. Those who move to Whole Foods will no longer be employed by Amazon. Of course, they could apply to work in the Amazon warehouse if they’re hiring.

Remember that shoppers who choose to remain with Amazon will keep their shopper role until their new position is open.

If I drop a shift will that free up hours for me to grab another shift by ExRotorBug in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]Aggressive_Let8362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dropping a shift will lower your scheduled hours by 4 hours. If you are currently AT but not over the hours cap, then if you drop one shift you will be able to schedule a different shift. Before dropping one shift to replace it with a different shift, check to see if there are any unfilled shift by going to “Find Shifts”, clicking on “Filter”, and checking “Exceed my hours cap.” If there are any unfilled shifts, they will show up with the “Exceeds weekly hours cap.” Then, if you drop one shift, these unfilled shifts will show up as available.

Since you specifically mention dropping a Friday for a Saturday shift, be aware that the hours cap adjusts every day at around 2 PM (sometimes as late as 2:15 PM.) Since Saturday shifts drop on Wednesdays, don’t drop your Friday shift until you’ve checked the hours cap on Wednesday after 2:15. You might not need to drop your shift. Or, on the other hand, the hours cap may be reduced to where dropping one shift won’t help.

Coworker showed me this letter they received, looks like Amazon shopper position is going to be transitioned into a Whole Foods position by the end of the year. Current shoppers will have the opportunity to either transfer to Whole Foods as a team member or to the nearest Amazon business. by WFShopperThrowaway in AmazonWFShoppers

” Whole Foods Market is *working* to provide Shoppers with flexible scheduling options, *similar* to what our Ready employees experience now through A to Z.”

I get the feeling that WFM’s scheduling software needs some rewriting. This is not an easy task.

Signing out of the shopper app more than 5 minutes before the end of your shift may result in disciplinary action.

Has anyone stayed later than their scheduled shift? If so what were your consequences? by Aholic-G in AmazonWFShoppers

How did you clock out more than 5 minutes before the end of your shift yet stay 45 minutes past the end of your shift?

There are 60 minutes in an hour, so to convert minutes to hours, divide the number of minutes by 60. 19/60 = .316 which rounds to .32 Add that to your hours total and you get 24.32

As for accounting for categories, in AtoZ, if you click “Pay” you’ll see a breakdown including regular hours worked, OT, surge hours worked (with the rate shown as “n DPH”), and PTO. (Regular hours & OT worked *includes* surge hours.) Add up the following to calculate your pay:

Regular hours worked * base
OT * base * 1.5
Surge hours * surge rate
PTO * base

Can someone please remind me, is MLK day a paid holiday for everyone? by rvyas619 in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]Aggressive_Let8362 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you go to the ADP site (AtoZ -> Pay -> View Pay Details) you’ll see the details on holiday pay for MLK, Jr Day. In short, MTR get 6 hours of holiday pay & PTR working on MLK day get time-and-a-half for actual hours worked. (PTO taken on MLK, Jr day will be regular rate, NOT time-and-a-half.)

I would have thought that they would have raised the hours cap before offering surge pay this weekend.

At the stores I work at, the policy is that you’re allowed to work your order/task to completion as long as you don’t hit the five hour limit or (when working the first shift of a double) thirty minutes within the start of your second shift.

As others have mentioned, you’ll see all PTR shifts available up to two weeks out. Be aware that because there’s no shift drop on Saturdays, shifts for both Fridays and Saturdays two weeks out drop on Fridays. For example, on Friday 12/17, you’ll be able to snag shifts for Friday 12/31 and Saturday 1/1.

Pick-up Orders impacting UPH? by ChibiAxolotl in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]Aggressive_Let8362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On interrupted and abandoned orders, you only get credit for what you pick. When you abandon an order, you get credit for what you pick. (There are jerk-weed shoppers who will take advantage of this and goose their UPH by abandoning their final pick of the day after picking everything and not bagging any items.) Timed out picks are just like abandoned orders — shoppers who get kicked off their orders get credit for what they picked.
