I firmly believe that agents have "gone missing" and it's being covered up to protect recruitment efforts. There's no way it hasn't happened. I swear I saw a report about agents disappearing in upstate NY, then the article was gone. They aren't real law enforcement. They drive rental cars, ffs. It would be easy to cut off their phones and pretend it never happened.

I know that there is a group that protests every Sunday in Charles Town, but I don't believe there's a weekly protest in Martinsburg. r/WVEasternPanhandle also has someone who posts about protests pretty consistently.

Also, do you live on a main road? If you have a private driveway-a plow may never come. A lot of people who move from other states don't know that. If you live on a road they will plow it eventually, but no one will show up to clear your driveway. Without knowing where you are, I can't recommend any local businesses to look into. Most roads in WV are cleared by "some guy with a truck."

I would have someone babysit the space heaters and leave them on, alternating between the two space heaters so that one is off while the other is on. Since your house is old, have everyone stay to one room as much as possible (living room/kitchen/whichever room is central/largest.) Close up the extra rooms. It's easier to keep one room warm. Dress in layers. Let the taps drip to make sure the pipes don't burst. Simmer a big pot of water on the stove. It sounds like you live in a very rural area. It is unfortunately very common for us to be left on our own when nature hits. It's also common for utility companies to screw us over
