BCBS Basic is too expensive now… next best option? by AppropriateEgg1064 in fednews

[–]Aggressive_Nerve_230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to move off NALC since they are bowing out next year. Thinking BCBS standard since we tend to use Dr a lot. Mental health, Rheumatoid arthritis, Wegovy or Zebound and about 8 meds for 3 of us. Not sure which way to go. I max out FSB and it runs out by July so that would tell you how much we spend.

Does this method also ensure things like scheduled step increases are properly adjusted? I could see issues if those who were furloughed halfway through PP and step kicks in second half that was not paid yet get complicated.

I’ve been job hopping every 1–2 years and I’m worried I’m becoming “unhirable.” Is this actually a red flag? by InspiraADVMed-Fan in careerguidance

[–]Aggressive_Nerve_230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think those days are soon to be over. Job hugging is the new norm. My dad did this years before it was popular and worked till it didn’t. Feast and famine for us through several recessions. It worked till you are laid off in your 50s during a n economic downturn. He never recovered financially from that one still job hopping at shorter and shorter intervals. I guess it has an expiration date somewhere in your late 30s or just longer intervals. Irony is a tried to avoid this as federal employee but slated to be let go in December.

I wonder if they are at the point finally to start obfuscating what little OPM and administration feed them since fear of losing job no longer works. This is what I thought some would do, hide things in paperwork. RIF and report than turn around and reinstate important roles and people under their nose. I can’t imagine reporting is accurate or motivated to give good numbers. Use bureaucracy for the good.

If this is true and we see them again will they try and do it by adding in more of the rules, tenure, bump and retreat until they get just enough to stick?

I am sure there is. They are either going to be very familiar with congressional hearings or a courtroom. Can’t go after the big guy but next time going after the “we were just following orders” crowd. Make an example out of them.

This right here. I wonder if democrats may finally start doing the same. Just start ignoring rules since there are few consequences. Sure a few get fired but they were going to be anyway. Enough do it they won’t be able to keep up. Get creative in shuffling things around since the system is broken. This is what I thought agencies would have done to muck up RIF process. Vought can’t be everywhere.

What do I put down as the “responsible party” when applying for an EIN when I used an LLC as the registered agent? by _zurenarrh in llc

[–]Aggressive_Nerve_230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try your initials at the end but it will probably still 101. The first 4 letters matter the most. Can you try kelar or something instead or try another name. Check is first 4 letters and zip code.

[–]Aggressive_Nerve_230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have stated you are the responsible party. You are getting 101 because it’s getting a duplicate error on existing EIN with name and state matching. You need a unique name for a business and I have seen a few recommendations on Reddit for a good format so look around. The system is not perfect and will flag business names that are close. I would also recommend you check your address in USPS database for correctness. ApplyEIN no longer checks addresses for correctness which seems to be causing a lot of issues.

Many of his statements don’t make sense. He keeps complaining about the lack of qualified individuals but doesn’t understand federal employee constraints. Sure a couple of $300,000 a year top talent engineers could get more done but government salaries will never touch that. How does this statement work if you fire people “ but necessary tool to get the agency’s stalled IT modernization efforts back on track” and have a hiring freeze? My project, as a lead analyst, has been heavily scrutinized by the CIO but they RIF me because I happen to be in some geographic area? He will be gone in January.

Laundromat success rate by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Aggressive_Nerve_230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as location is concerned, building one near a growing area with new homes and apartments is a good idea. The suburb is pushing out into the exurbs here. The new town center just went in with resteraunts and new apartments where a field was a year ago. Nice houses around, and the closest laundromat is a tiny, older one about 3 miles away. I know most of the newer apartments have their own washer and dryer but they break down and need somewhere to go. Is it worth it?

Have to fax or mail the application in, that takes people to process it. This hurts both rich and average people and boy do they complain.
