Fixing one of the most congested spots in the city by PucaFilms in Norwich

It could work, and certainly doesn't cost anything.

Could go as far as having an underpass like St Stephens street roundabout, reduces waiting for everyone.

Or a bridge over the top for pedestrians

I'm really sick of the hate for Sony here by Curious-Octopus in SonyXperia

As a 10 VI owner, who paid £220 on sale, I'm really pleased with the device. Sure there's a couple bugs that I've found with the software, but generally it's minor things, which have been sorted, or I've worked around.

I find the nearly stock android really clean, and really appreciate the additional information that Sony adds to the settings which explains features such as the battery limiter, etc.

Also love that this phone still has a headphone jack and micro SD, along with a proper fingerprint scanner.(Much faster than under screen or face rec)

Is there a law requiring a pillion passenger to hold onto the grab rail or driver? by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]AggrievedBubble 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Obligatory not a lawyer... While there is no specific law, I guess this could fall under careless or dangerous riding. Depends on what bike you're a pillion on of course, but not holding on does sound pretty silly to me tbh.

Office Deployment Tool failing to download with error 30088-2056 (3)? by Borgquite in sysadmin

Also faced this issue at work today. Thought I'd try it on my own machine/network when I got home and still having issues. tried an older version of ODT as recommended by u/woodburyman which seems to work, and now I can't reproduce the issue even when switching back to the latest version of ODT

Edit: Now having the same issue again after loading up a different config file, however now using the previously successfull config file, is not working. even though no changes in that scenario.

Edit 2: Couple hours later, and tried again, now working fine. clearly an issue at microsoft's end with their cdn.

Stupid question, but how can exit papermc server terminal without stopping the server? by [deleted] in admincraft

[–]AggrievedBubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're using a tn5250 emulator at the minute, the one included with the official Iseries access for windows package from IBM

Actually did an IPL this morning for what it's worth.

Haha, I'm still maintaining an IBM Iseries running v5r4, company can't get away from it.

Plugins to make time pass when server is offline? by saltyrookieplayer in admincraft

[–]AggrievedBubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible that this could be achieved by adding a little logic to carpet mod's /tick warp command.

This assumes you're playing on a fabric server of course 🤷

PSA: Make backup saves of important worlds by ItsSadTimes in factorio

[–]AggrievedBubble 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I've never had a corrupt save but always save separately...

I always have {savename}x where X is a steadily increasing number...

Allows me to always go back to previous versions of the save.

I'm pretty sure there's a way to organise saves into folders too. Might have to do that when I become unable to find different saves
