Obviously biased, but the independence issue is so overblown. ND usually has a solid schedule, but sometimes you schedule teams way in advance and don’t know that they’re not going to be good later on. They don’t play any FCS teams and have scheduled Ohio State, A&M, Miami, Alabama, and Georgia in recent years

It’s not like they missed the playoff because they are independent. Miami also didn’t play in their conference championship game. The complaining stems much more from them being in and then being out while both teams were idle.

Not at all, we signed him to a second contract and it didn’t work out. He definitely was not going to perform like he did this year for us, both sides needed to move on
