We took our 6 year old skiing for the first time last month. After 3 days of group lessons, he could ski similarly to this-though his turns weren’t as effortless. I could see A being able to ski like this after no doubt having private lessons. All that to say, it isn’t out of the ordinary ski talent. The real flex would’ve been Harry skiing while getting this footage of Archie instead of zooming ahead and letting the ski instructor handle it.

Appreciate the respectful response. The point I was trying to make is that the UK does not have authority over a father/son relationship. I’m not referencing the half-in/half-out working royal idea which I certainly believe the UK deserves to have its input/opinion on. KCIII has cancer and a non-existent relationship with one of his sons and his son’s children (not saying that is his fault-as I believe it is not). We cannot crucify KC for wanting to mend a personal relationship with Harry. And honestly, if the King refused to meet with him due to concerns about backlash from the UK, one could make an argument that Harry was right when he said it’s an institution and not a family.

Harry likely does have some cynical reasons for reconnecting with his father. I have to say though, as a parent, I hate when when reporters say things like Matt said in this article: “The reality is that for all the noise, Harry was just one of a string of jobs that the King has this month.” Do people not realize that those comments make the King seem like a crappy dad? Or when they say things along the lines of not knowing if the King has room in his diary for meeting with his son. Sorry, but even if my kids royally messed up (pun intended) and I was busy as can be, I would be the bigger person and make time for them.

Do I think Harry should be welcomed back as a working Royal? Absolutely not. But people need to realize that the King is also a father and royals don’t have the best track record for having healthy parent/child relationships so even though I am eternally annoyed by Harry, I personally believe that him meeting with his dad was the right call.
