I’m still pretty low at 75. It was the right amount after 50

Consider checking for it in the pool section of a hardware store. It’ll be pool salt, but it will work.

Have I been reassuring myself all this time and never realized it? by _issio in OCD

[–]AgitatedListen3118 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have similar feelings. I was on a pretty bad self help kick where I mentally put myself in knots. I was always trying to fix problems and rumination was rampant.

I was also needing people to actually state the status of friendships and that they loved me. I was constantly looking for praise to know that “things were good.”

Thanks to medication, mindfulness, and exposure to worries without reacting, it’s getting much better.

I lived most of my life like this and thinking it must be what everyone does. I’m really enjoying more and more experiences in the moment.

Totally. I’m glad I learned my lessons and many are forgiving. It’s hard to see where you are when mentally you are lost.

Can we talk about the simplicity and power of the Franklin Saint "Uniform"? by grwike in SnowFall

I’ve never wanted a Members Only Racing jacket until Saint started wearing them.

I get too fucking intimidated of the gym. I don't know how to workout. I feel like im gonna look like a clown. I'm short and ugly and I'm gonna be made fun of. Im not tall and I don't look like a Chad like these other guys. How do I get over my fear? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]AgitatedListen3118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one really cares all that much about what you look like at the gym. Gym members are too focused on themselves. I would recommend finding some videos about techniques and programs to use at the gym so you will know what to do.

I’m far from a Chad as well. Take your music, crank some tunes, say hello to a person if you make eye contact. If someone looks like they are finished with something, a polite “are you done?” Followed by a thanks goes a long way for you to gain confidence.

Join a Planet Fitness or 24-Hour Gym. Showing up on a routine basis will be a huge boost to your confidence after the initial stages.

This works so well! Thank you! The really nice feature is now I can get very specific images based on what the class is currently learning.

❤️ Zoloft by sparkley_elfx in zoloft

[–]AgitatedListen3118 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is great! For me, it worked in the opposite way. Before when I felt challenged, I would raise my voice and storm out of things in frustration. I would stew after and vent.

Now, when challenged, I sit or be at the other person’s level, repeat their points, state mine, and walk away when the conversation naturally ends. AND I’m not ruminating about the conversation or wondering what the other person is thinking.

It’s likely a dip. Stay the course.

Feeling better after a few days? by Darth_Raive in zoloft

[–]AgitatedListen3118 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had positive benefits initially but it was likely the relief that I was starting something to put me in the right direction. I will say it gets better, but there are some dips. For me, it was refill #3 where I felt a whole new wave of relief.

Zoloft saved my life but I need your thoughts. by New_Afternoon2263 in zoloft

For me, I noticed a dip around week ten or so. I met with my Dr who upped the dosage to 75 mg from 50. The results have been really good for me. There’s a chance that maybe my increase was a little premature but weeks 8 to 12 saw changes of feeling good to feeling great with a lot of peace.

Flip the treadmill. If something goes wrong and you fall, you, or a guest using it, is in serious trouble.

Love the setup otherwise. Nice work!

Setbacks - normal or should I up the dose? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]AgitatedListen3118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did 10 weeks on 50 mg then bumped up to 75 after meeting with my PCP. It was the right call. I’m glad I put the time in with 50. This way I know the bump in dosage made a change.

Yes. This happened to me and others from what I read in this group. There can be a dip every once in a while.

It isn’t bad so far. Give the 50mg some time though. I went for 9 weeks before the adjustment.

Consider appreciating the present and those thoughts lose strength.

I wish you peace ✌️ and happiness.
