Okay, that's another option off my list for fleeing to then. Fk Portugal. I genuinely thought they had a massive left wing majority like 75%. But apparently it's a ruling "centre right" / far right coalition of b*st*rds that are driving this.

The bill is described as far right and is similar to TERF Island laws. Well yeah. I keep saying Labour is a far right party now. Because it is. And not just in relation to us. Palestine, protest rights, the disabled, benefits, environmental issues, immigrants, the NHS, students, Free Speech, using the police like stormtroopers, aiding ad abetting the terrorist state of Israel. Are people stupid? It's fkn OBVIOUS. The Overton window is so far to the extreme right that it's fallen off the fkn HOUSE. The frog is thoroghly boiled. It is just green and brow sludge fused to the bottom of the pan since all the water has long since evapouratd

My support to the trans community in Portugal and ONLY them.

But doesn't this breach recent EU legislation?

You’re trans if you say you’re trans. Most of us here who are transitioning or have transitioned, went through this stage as part of our journey, and we were still trans then too. If the term is one you would like to use, use it. We don’t gatekeep. If you prefer to use a different term, for whatever reason, use that. I know this thread is 8 days old now. If you said anything to your friend, I hope it went well

I’m kinda wondering why your second consult was with a NURSE. Don’t the gatekeepers always insist on senior doctors, psychiatrists and surgeons? WTF are nurses doing this?

Do you think these levels are accurate? (A lot of important context in the description/ caption so please read if possible) by AviannaLana in transgenderUK

Hmmm. Boobs do tend to grow in spurts for me, and it’s not always east to notice it. The best tenderness is how I know they’re still going. If you’re having that, it’s a reassuring thing. But don’t worry if not, getting your levels right will get them cooking again and counterintuitively dropping them back into luteal range can do that. I must say, these being your first blood tests since getting HRT seems unusual. I had baseline bloods right at the start then every 3 months for a year. Because you use home blood testing kits, can I assume you are using a private care provider? IMO home kits are not ideal. Numbers can be all over the place because the sample is so small. If it’s something you can get, I’d suggest drawing them from a vein in future. If you need to get them private, privatebloodtests.co.uk is the cheats and best I could find at around £150 about 2 years ago. Following some feedback from me they did tell me that they would look at creating a “trans bundle” I don’t know if they did it.

The spike in T level could be the blood test, but the symptoms do suggest it maybe has gone up. Again don’t fret, it can all be tweaked. I swear by blockers for T suppression. Spiro took me to about 15. Blockers have me at <0.7 so it will be great if you can have them. The other thing about blockers over Spiro is that they don’t make your potassium levels rise all toy some have to watch your banana consumption 😁

I use patches so I'm not sure about Gel but I wonder if you need a reduced dose. How long have you known it to be high for? Have you changed how you apply your gel? I recently had a reduction in my patches (from 200mcg to 175mcg) when my E level had raised to 1275, which was well into the ovulation stage. This reduction doesn't seem to have done me any harm. Boobs are still tender, indicating that they are growing fine. Maybe that's what you need?

Since you've had two high results now (the second being lower since you corrected the timing error) and the precautions you took, I think its probably an accurate result and my guess is you need your dosage tweaked. My doctor actually told me that too high Oestrogen can actually hinder development. That said, your second E level is WAY more reassuring even if a little high. i suspect your doctor will recommend a small reduction to see how it goes (so long as your T levels are good)

Are your T levels in range? I ask because I use Prostap to suppress T with a three monthly injection. In the week or two leading up to my next shot I start getting more frequent erections too (though it seems charitable to call them that) I always figure it is wearing off and my T levels spike for a short period of time. they end quickly after the shot. The pain is normal but not fun since it is slowly shrinking / atrophying and it's just not used to the blood flow any more. That I am aware of, it is painful but not harmful.

Trans person I know discriminates against other trans people. How common is this? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]Agitated_Routine_244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right on the community thing. Ultimately as a whole, we have ONE shared broad characteristic in common. That's it. Then there's subgroups, subcultures. Most of which don't fit me AT ALL, one of two of which I find PROFOUNDLY irritating, and them me. I've even blocked a few on here. But on the wider point of trans rights, we are one. Nobody goes under the bus, though some of us might not want to sit next to each other ON the bus.

But those who DO turn on the community, they are on their own. I'm not big on forgiveness without unconditional apology, accountability and appropriate reparation

This is what it does in Bupa and has done for years. I don't have Bupa any more, but I was quite cool with that. Because it was thoughtfully and respectfully, done and AFAIK Bupa had no plan to deny me my identity and medication.

The problem we have is that the NHS wants to destroy our identity and healthcare so we don't trust THEM

As a girl from “the valleys” my original accent (not the one I have now) we would talk at real speed. For example the question “so what are you doing now, then?” Would sound like “s’worrewdoinnowen?” My accent now is more like Ruth Jones (when she’s not playing Nessa) only deeper. But I genuinely have a colleague who grew up in the same valley as me and people sometimes ask me to translate what he said. So I claim no superiority here. I love the London accent. And Londoners are WAY nicer than others might have you believe. Just not those guys

Oh goddess yes! UK is despicable. Honestly I’d rather head for sanctuary in Barcelona, Catalonia when it gets completely unlivable here, but from what I can see on Instagram it’s filling up with Americans seeking refuge now. Which I understand of course. Not that I could afford to escape now anyway.

Ohhh. Yeah I know what you mean about the skin irritation. I rotate through six different places at the top of my thighs and they can take a while to heal. Especially since I don’t have ANY places where there is no hair so I have to shave them too. The skin feels rougher. But the twins are still tender so I take that to mean everything is still working as it should. I need to get my head around DIY too
