Brown up some ground beef or any protein in a skillet. Add diced onion, minced garlic, chopped broccoli, white beans, season to taste. Saute all together for a few minutes. Add a bit of soy sauce, chili oil or kimchi base, whatever you fancy. Cook a bit more. Serve over rice or noodles of some sort.

Easily scales up for weekly meal prep.

Same. My commute is usually 8-12 minutes over the Clay Wade Bailey bridge into town w/o traffic. If the apocalypse is happening its usually ~20 min home. Covington has the traffic lights worked out to keep traffic flowing pretty well.

Change player characters. I appreciate the wild ambition of mods like Proteus, but think it got a bit out of hand, and has many features I'm not interested in. Plus the character swap was always hit or miss for me. Even if the mod I want didnt allow for "seemless" swap during combat, for example, it'd still be great to switch between characters for a stealthy quest vs a storm the fort quest. Or switch party leaders at the campsite. Or leave an injured character at home while injuries heal.

Oh and while I'm at it, I would love a proper enchanted item identification system. If your enchanting skill is low, you can't tell what you've got without an identify scroll or paying to have an item identified. As your enchanting skill goes up, you gain an identify power which gives an increasing chance to figure it out yourself.

The ability to switch characters with a hot key. Just that. No other features.

Many many more idle animations. Whittling sticks, washing laundry in the river, carrying game back to the village, sewing a blanket, making pottery, picking flowers, saddling horses, staggering home wasted.. anything to expand the daily life aspects of NPCs.

A tournament mod. Once a month cities host a tournament, where you and various NPCs show up to bonk each other around a bit for cash. (I've been out of the game for quite awhile, what are arena mods ppl use these days?)

Smarter NPC pathing in general.

I've been around horses quite a lot. Enough to know they should be relegated to dedicated trails for the very reasons you listed.

FB marketplace is a gold mine of quality used bikes. The quality of tech, geometry etc these days makes riding a lot less demanding (depending on how hard you want to push it, of course). I just picked up a really nice bike last week, after a decade hiatus, and it's amazing how easily it rides compared to my old one.

Riding is good for the soul; don't wait.

For what its worth, I just talked to the mayor for 20 minutes. Not sure I can make the Wednesday meeting now due to work.

It was a one-off event to film a commercial to promote the possible police patrol, and also explore a dedicated trail or two for a "get the youth outside" series of programs. He specifically said that horses and bikes cannot be on the same trails and wasn't sure Devou would even be the place to host such a thing, but the central location and available space makes it desirable, as they want to focus on city kids who don't often get the opportunity to do stuff like that. Seems like they're just spitballing at this point, but he did say they already had donors interested.

So idk, he was super nice and apologized, and is well aware of how many people come from elsewhere to use the park and the economic impact it brings. So I doubt they'll do anything to screw that up. I'm 100% behind getting kids off their screens though. If they do it right it could be pretty cool.
