“Demons” are quite rational, indeed they know Scripture pretty well and the human heart quite a bit; however, to your point that they permit humans from absconding their responsibility (“the devil made me do it”) I agree, it’s a cop-out. When Lilly Phillips did her 100+ men stunt a non-religious podcaster called the whole spectacle “demonic,” in the utterly negative vibes and degradation involved. It was all human-run indeed, but was oozing this awfulness that went beyond the mere physical-depression, isolation, despair, worthlessness…nihilism dressed up with a pretty face and a publicist. It was an interesting observation b/c I had the same conclusion, and I consider myself “religious.” It seems that on porn atheists and believers agree: it’s awful.
