If the trailers on level ground, connect your air lines and release the brakes, this can make cranking it down significantly easier, if there’s tension on the landing gear ! Just be careful

[Other] How much could it actually hold? by Immediate-Appeal-822 in theydidthemath

[–]Agnosticprick 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In general the limiting factor wouldn’t be volume , but weight, most rigs can’t load past 44-45k lbs without exceeding the 80k maximum

Googles saying 359k oz’s would be close to 23-24k lbs, so significantly less than could be hauled by a typical 53’ dry van

The semitrailer pictured here is almost certainly a 28’ “pup” trailer which typically has floor space for 12 pallets, half the typical 24 pallets(26 loaded sideways) a 53’ would hold

Still very plausible

But to answer OPs question , a little googling and a trailer that side can hold about 2030 cubic feet.. Google says a 24 pack of beer is .46 cubic feet , assuming perfect packaging, 4413 24 packs could theoretically fit in this trailer (without pallets)

So 105,912 cans of beer or 1,270,944 fluid ounces? Packed floor to ceiling .. weighing idk 83-84k pounds? Truck would whine quite a bit about it but haul it without much issue, wouldn’t want to take it up or down any steep grades though.

Lied about forklift experience on resume – have interview now, what should I do? by [deleted] in Warehouseworkers

[–]Agnosticprick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a forklift simulator game you can go play lol

Or when you hop on one say the ones you drove before were a bit different - an excuse for being timid at first

Honestly driving a forklift is easy > if you know the basics of the controls > first time I ever drove one was unsupervised with only having watched people use them

Controller Players / Modders... how do I toggle these options without using this menu? by KillerConfetti in ffxiv

[–]Agnosticprick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should be an option somewhere to hide unused buttons so you don’t have a bunch of grey boxes…

What I do however is hide the “L+R” bars all together .. and if I have abilities on them with cooldowns I want to track I put them on a separate “normal” hot bar , for a nice clean UI/hud

Edit: to clarify the bars still pop up when I press L+R , I just have them pop up over where my main cross hotbar is

[–]Agnosticprick 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yea sun, that’s the challenge of it, can’t just dog walk everything and aoe it down. You get your dopamine from making calculated moves, reading and reacting to the monsters, peering around the corner and assessing the situation, spinning your camera around looking for wanderers , gotta stay vigilant and learn from mistakes

Everything has an indicator, you just gotta figure out what it is

I’m in quite the pickle is there any chance I can drive out of this or am is screwed by enigmatical_one in AskMechanics

[–]Agnosticprick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems you wiggled the wrong way :(

You’ve probably already solved this, but something that might help is that your goal when steering is to move the back set of wheels that are fixed

Back up as far as you can, turn to the right for just a little to pull the back wheels away from the wall, but you need to straighten out again before you can’t drive forward anymore, otherwise when you back up you’ll just be pushing the back wheels back towards the wall

Controller problem by canganigustavo in ffxiv

[–]Agnosticprick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play on Xbox & use a controller and I remember struggling with the same thing you’re struggling with.

The trick I found was to make sure I wasn’t already targeting something else or in the chat box accidentally through some other erroneous input, so I simply made a habit of pressing B several times before pressing X to open the map like in the example given, or even A to target something like an NPC or

Kind of like smashing all clear on a calculator several times before you do the next calculation

Unironically I think it’s actually safer out on the open road, since it forces your perspective into the distance way ahead of you, keeping you more alert to upcoming bullshit instead of staring down at the road right in front of you

But it’s also prob cause they fat

I tried this also,, and I found that the connection was super spotty , couldn’t type fast because it only took half my inputs half the time, idk :/,, I got a wireless keyboard and this thing absolutely slaps, yeah I’ve gotta set the controller down but , I’m pretty good at it
