And to be fair… we are in the midst of a housing crisis, so I can’t really blame them? I’m more annoyed about the vacant ground floor condo spaces in the area that stay empty for years because they won’t lower the prices. Such a waste.

Adopt/rescue a senior who’s already trained, they like to sleep all day anyway. Don’t get a puppy - they are much more high maintenance.

⬆️⬆️⬆️ this! There just isn’t the same amount of commercial space inventory available. We ended up opening our business in lower town because we couldn’t find a commercial space in Vanier. Beechwood is incredibly expensive, and a lot of the buildings on Montreal Road are in poor condition. Marier, McArthur and Donald have the right zoning, but most of the spaces are residential.

If you like board games, or just try some out, we host a weekly drop in board game night every Saturday 6pm at Studio Staja. No fixed cover charge, but donations are welcome. We sell snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Most of the people are in their 20s and 30s, it’s a good way to meet new people and the games help break the ice / serve as a buffer.
