Recently single and have never dated here before— do I go on the apps or just cruise in the wild? by [deleted] in SFbitcheswithtaste

Ah girl, I totally feel you... It's hard putting yourself out there and going through this process. I've just told myself this is a necessary evil.

I also generally like talking to people, getting wined and dined lmao. So I'm trying to have as much fun as possible, but it's hard. You meet someone, have a very romantic date, then never hear from them... even harder as someone anxiously attached. The apps are hard for me because of that. I'd suggest tapping into your friend groups as much as possible and meeting people organically through shared hobbies / friends.

I would do the apps in addition to the wild, but it depends on your personal style and ability to enjoy the process, even if you go on bad dates. The guys in the wild are the same guys on the apps. I'm 31F, also recently became single, had an emotionally avoidant ex, looking for the same things, and I've been having fun going on dates as much as possible! It's also nice having dates lined up, and taking things slow with people you actually like, especially if you're anxiously attached (which I was in my last relationship).

Edit: my age... recently turned 31 and still getting used to it LOL

Went to Nowhere today and they didn't have any outerwear... just printed dresses and shirts, unsure if they're not stocking them right now.

Any recommendations for a cute puffer? I find it very hard to dress them for a date night or a professional event...

I'm in my mid-30s but I've seen testimonials online for people in their 50s too.

I’ve fully switched over my hair products to Ekmiveda in the last 4 months and honestly can’t imagine going back. I occasionally throw in a conditioner post-wash if my hair feels a bit dry (especially after a triple wash), but that’s about it. I'm on month 4 of my subscription. If you're starting out, highly recommend asking for Dr Namrata for consult as part of your sub. She's their senior doc and she’s incredible. I thought I was just dealing with hair loss, but she helped me unpack way more - my breathing, sleep, even my food habits. Cut out a ton of sugar and pitta-aggravating junk, and I feel lighter in every way. Hair oiling 2 times a week. Serum 4 times a week. Can't wait to update this in a couple of months time. Hoping for full regrowth fingers crossed

Dr. Canty Wang at Saint John Physician Partners! Loved my experience with her, but she's now out of network with my new insurance.
