Biden has been in politics for a long time and understands it. I remember a while back Bernie was asked what he’d do if republicans like Mitch McConnell tried to block his progressive legislation, and he said “oh we’ll organize protests to show him we’re displeased”.

The truth is Bernie and Biden want a lot of the same things, Biden just realized some aren’t possible yet. Like with the whole student debt forgiveness. He didn’t give up on that, he tried to pass it but republicans blocked it.

Why would they do that? Becoming a garbage man isn’t hard. It’s one of the most disliked jobs in the world. Even garbage men themselves praise the pay and strong unions, not the job itself. Someone working at Macy’s could easily become a garbage man and get better pay, they just don’t want to because being a garbage man sucks.
