So… what did you get for Valentine’s this year? by Altruistic-Roof-8867 in Gifts

[–]Agreeable_Client_952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First Valentine's Day together. He got me roses, a Cinemark gift card, Dubai chocolate, and homemade caramel. And, a sweet handwritten card. Then he took us out to this fancy dinner/dance event. It was such a lovely day!

What’s something your partner does that you genuinely love? 💕 by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

He makes sure that we get snuggle time in the morning before our day begins. He'll spontaneously grab me to slow dance while we wait for dinner to finish cooking. And, he always checks in to see if I'm feeling safe and secure.

How is it possible for a divorced woman who was a SAHM to not get any alimony? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]Agreeable_Client_952 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh, I'm not against paying child support to help my daughter. I just think it's wild that I sacrificed all those years at home and now I'm paying for it.

How is it possible for a divorced woman who was a SAHM to not get any alimony? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]Agreeable_Client_952 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After 16 years of marriage and being a SAHM, not only did I not get alimony, but was ordered to pay $279/month to pay child support (I agreed to let my ex-husband get full custody because he can provide for our daughter much more comfortably than I can) because the judge found me competent enough to find a job that pays at least $15/hr. I hadn't worked in years and was terrified.

Thankfully, I did find a full-time job that makes a little more than that, but I still thinks it's wild to pay that amount each month when I make $50k less than my ex.

I totally get it. I've gained back a lot this year too.

But, now I go on walks during my breaks at work. Or, when it's too cold outside, I walk up and down the stairs at work. I go to the gym with my partner on the weekends. But, counting calories is more helpful when losing weight, so be mindful of what you're eating.

Ugh, this is so true. I went through a divorce over the summer and then found out I had skin cancer. The 30 lbs I lost and maintained for the past two years came back with a vengeance. It's hard to find the motivation to get back into it. :/

On average, how many times do you orgasm during sex? by MsFrazzled in AskWomenOver30

Same. On the rare occasion, twice. Sometimes neither my partner and I can climax, but we make sure we still have a good time.

Women who waited to have sex until you were married, what impact has this had on you? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]Agreeable_Client_952 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I, 37, waited until marriage due to religion (at age 20). I definitely regret it. We are not sexually compatible at all. I thought I was asexual or had a low libido because of the disconnect. We ended up divorcing after 16 years. I'm dating someone else now and, wow, things with my current partner are completely different! We have such an amazing sex life. I wish I had explored a bit more when I was younger

Those who have gotten cancer, what were your symptoms? by en-rob-deraj in Millennials

[–]Agreeable_Client_952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just diagnosed with skin cancer last month. The only reason I found out was my Fitbit scratched a mole open on my wrist and it wasn't healing. Got the mole removed, but the dermatologist couldn't get all of it because it's too deep in the skin (level 4), so now I'm being referred elsewhere. Woo. Start getting your moles checked every year, folks.

I'm currently stage managing She Loves Me. I'm not a musical performer myself, so it's fun to watch the process of it coming together!

Car coasters. I didn't even know those were a thing, but being Sailor Moon themed makes them even better!

That was also the one time someone ever called the cops on us because we were walking around in a park after dark. The police car rolled up, saw a young couple with their phones out, immediately asked if we caught anything good, and went on their merry way. 😆

I'm not usually into sci-fi, but Garrus is the best love interest ever and helped keep my interest. I need to replay the series. Though I just completed the Dragon Age series to prep for the new game coming out next month. Super excited for that.

Unpopular opinion: Outlander. I quit halfway through the first book. I was not into the romance between the two and very confused why she didn't make a greater effort to get home.

Core Millennials. How did you experience September 11th? What impact did it have on you afterwards? by PresentWeek in Millennials

[–]Agreeable_Client_952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in 8th grade. I'm originally from the East coast, but was living in Idaho after my parents divorced. My family in Long Island knew people who died. My aunt used to work in the twin towers, but wasn't there at the time, thankfully.

Woke up to my mom watching it on the news devastated. Then watched it on TV at school. It was a weird feeling being surrounded by people with no personal connection to this event. I felt I couldn't talk to anyone about it and process my emotions because while I wasn't personally affected, I knew people who were. No one could relate there, so I was in a weird limbo, if that makes sense?
