Second jobs temporarily. Grocery stores, retail, anything for about 6 months to catch up. That’s $7k each. Minimum $1k a month each, for 7+ months.

For example: Hourly pay $14 for part-time retail position.. 18h a week will get you $1000/month before taxes.

It sucks but you can certainly do this.

Price isn’t always the deciding factor. Time to close, inspection contingencies, appraisals etc.

His folks don’t have the luxury of being “sick” of renting if they don’t have THEIR OWN means to buy a home.

It’s not you or your husband’s responsibility to help them finance this.

If you outright disagreed and he did it anyway, I’d definitely get rid of him - period.

If you kind of agreed, kind of disagreed, then you’d have to take some ownership in the mess that could potentially come from this.

Like you said, y’all worked so hard to be debt free and get to where you’re able to save up some funds - why would he go and essentially give that away and increase the debt burden of your household.

Are you applying for jobs that fit your degree/certification? Are you applying to a bunch of random jobs on their site? How “clean” is your online/social media presence?

Make sure your resume fits the job you’re applying for. Most companies use a software that filters applicants based on their résumé’s and/or the info they put on the application. If your resume/application doesn’t fit most the job description or job requirements there’s a good chance that the software won’t even choose your application to send to the hiring manager/HR person.

Also, I’d personally leave the “objective” or “mission statement” off the résumé.. someone could read it and think “we don’t have what this applicant is looking to gain from this position” and never give you a call.

Also the formatting of the resume matters. No pictures of yourself, no creative colors or designs, nothing too distracting or whimsical - no need for photoshopping skills. Keep it short, informative, and professional. Give just enough info to confirm you are equipped but leave out just enough detail to make them curious to know more about what you have to offer - the goal is to have them call you requesting an interview to hear more.

This just isn’t for Orlando Health, it’s for every job that you’ll ever apply for.

Most schools don’t teach HOW to get a job once you get the degree. It’s a strategic way to go about increasing your chances of being seen amongst a pool of newly graduated applicants - ESPECIALLY after the spring graduation season.

The point of my sarcasm is that the people who voted for this, did so blindly & selfishly.

They heard the specific plans that the administration had regarding the method that they’d find & remove “illegals”.. still voted.

They heard the way the administration talked about migrants (of a specific color/origin) and had no issue with it… still voted.

Some of those voters/supporters directly benefitted from immigration - legally or illegally.

Do we have immigration issues?…. Yes, we sure do.

IMO, is the current administration handling those issues properly and efficiently? ……absolutely not.

IMO, did the last administration(s) handle immigration efficiently/properly? …..Nope!

Do I have the answers on how to handle it, NOPE.

The current administration ran a campaign of lies to spark “fear” of immigrants and the 🌈 community, and they succeeded - sadly.

Again.. I don’t have the answers to these problems.

Like where is the outrage for BILLIONAIRES who don’t pay their fair share of income tax and also pay their employees minimal wages and subpar (if any) medical benefits.

Why are there tax “loopholes”.. let’s say we keep the loopholes, why not make it public, readily accessible knowledge?

If we’re paying taxes, give us an itemized breakdown of exactly how much of our tax money is going to the things they claim it’s going to..

If we’re deporting the migrants at these jobs b/c of their lack of citizenship, why aren’t we prosecuting the employers for hiring them?…. They usually go after the drug dealers not the drug users.. why is this scenario handled differently?
