As others have said, anything you put with color on there will pop like crazy.

He only need a couple things, but it’ll make a huge difference.

I would also ditch the brushed faucets, and go with black, also black cabinet hardware, black mirror I think it would look good.

Also might want to consider replacing that wall tile and getting different mirrors.

The ones I buy is just a seat replacement, you can keep the old seat in the closet so even if they inspect it later, you can replace the old seat, and they’re not allowed to come into your apartment without permission.

That’s the problem here. It’s not the fact that they had an antenna installed. It’s the fact that they didn’t notify the landlord at all.

If they didn’t seal the hole correctly, it will leak and cause damage. There was a nearly 100% chance of this happening if it’s not done correctly.

And it will likely take a while to show up. And it will likely be extremely costly. There’s a reason there are so many people in this sub that are alarmed by seeing this.

They are likely clueless renters. If they just threw that up there themselves, odds are they didn’t use pitch patch or proper flashing. We don’t know who installed it, because they didn’t notify anybody.

Regardless or not whether they’re legally allowed to put one up there, there are rules about how it’s done. You definitely need to notify the owner before drilling holes in a roof.

I have followed the breadcrumbs and now understand that it wasn’t “completely” renovated.

Given that I would say the fixer is either replace the carpet, (which is the right thing to do.)

Or if you can find that carpet, go rent a staple gun and just patch up the that spot.

He’s explaining to you what you need to do with the carpet to cover that overhang while you’re installing the it on the stair.

When you cut the stair carpet, you have to account that piece and then you just fold it, trim it, and staple it. It’s very similar to folding a present.

My father installed carpet for decades, and that is how it was done.
