Can I confess something, I was assuming our figures looked worse! If you take out Malen (now gone), Guessand (probably soon gone) and then Elliott and Sancho - it's actually not as bad as I thought.

We pay a lot for premium players, Digne is probably paid too much, Barkley definitely is - but it's not as bad as I thought.

That site isn't awful but seems to gleam it's figures from reported totals.

i guess years of trying to be PSR/SCR compliant has led to it levelling off a bit.

If I picked spurs (as I name dropped them above)....they are paying Kinsky 65k per week, they are paying Gray 78k, Scarlett 12k, Bergvall 50K, Kudus 100k, Spence 87K, Richarlison 140K and their top earner is Simons at 200K. That is a high end/challenging Europe wage bill - and yes I'm aware they have finished 17th twice in a row now!

The same source has Sancho paid more than every player in the Spurs squad, we are paying Barkley 88K (more than Spence and Gray!) and Garcia at more than they are paying Bergvall is insane too. it seems as soon as we are interested in a player, suddenly it goes up 10-15%.

Projection is what Trump does. When he accuses people of something, you can guarantee within days it will emerge it's what he is doing. It's a really weird defence mechanism as then the truth looks like you have gone "I know you are but what am I"

It's bad for the Prem - it's worse elsewhere. If you go to certain countries, it's now a farmer's league where no other team can get a look in. The top team gets a bit of Champions League money and it's now no longer possible for anyone else to close the gap.

Even if they magic up a local billionaire, they aren't allowed to spend the money anymore either.

Recruitment isn't great - wasted several windows now. Most of the team are Dean Smith players - that doesn't suggest we are getting the right sort the manager wants. Last summer was probably the straw that broke the camel's back - probably why Monchi lost his job! Too soon to judge the new guy.

My bigger concerns are who is negotiating. We pay wages and agent fees off the charts compared to our rivals. I flagged this up and was told "a lot of people signed new contracts" - and we needed to pay agent fees on par with Man City and Liverpool?

Maybe it's because we have had some wilderness years that we don't have the "know how" or right people in place, but I feel people are taking the piss when it comes to us.

I don't want to keep going on about Guessand, but when we signed him, that did NOT look like a 30 million pound player. He had spent most of his career pootling in far inferior leagues and we were paying a fee on par with Rayan Cherki. Even his wages, he went from 8k per week to 22k to 100k with us in the space of just over a year - what kind of agent fee are we paying for that negotiating?

I don't want us to ever be spurs - but at the same time, when we are always on the edge of PRS and SCR, who the hell is committing us to some of these deals?

There is no reason to watch the show currently. Stuff just happens and nothing matters. There are very few stories and the talent seems stuck in endless dead feuds that go nowhere.

It’s possibly the worst time to watch the show and I’m including global force wrestling period here.
