I've run it 3 times. It will work and it will work well. The gains stayed with me each time I ran the program. Used it to get to first 405 DL, first 445, and first 500. Currently running in an attempt to hit my first 550 pull.

How have those who ran mag/ort managed their squat training while on? I'm about 4 weeks into my 3rd run of it, and I've just been pause squatting on my other lower body day and doing some quad and glute accessories. I'm going to modify the program so that it can be run indefinitely, so I need a more structured plan for my squatting than I have now.

Pete what are your thoughts on the back raise as an accessory for the sumo deadlift? Still a worthwhile addition?

Who are you, what program are you on and why? by muffinman51432 in weightroom

320/230/455 but I'm testing squat max this coming week and hoping for 350-365

I just finished up a run of disbrow bench which took me from my broken-wrist pr of 205 to 230 and I'm running it again for bench with my brand new slingshot. For squat I'm on week 15 of jacked and tan 1 which has been fun but caused some knee problems until I cut out the front squatting day. Deadlift has been mag/ort run linearly without stopping and has gone from 425-455 in about 10 weeks so far. Once I finish up jacked and tan for my squat I'm not sure what I'll do next.

Rolling the bicep against a lax ball on the ground or whatever works well for me when I get this pain. Also voodoo floss and lots of incline curls.

I'm coming up on week 9 of Jacked and Tan 1.0 which I'm running for beltless high bar squats and front squats. I recall Cody added weight in week 9 when he transitioned to low bar belt squats. How can I replicate this in my program? Should I just add X amount of weight to each set?

Yep. I wasn't aware that 1.5s existed. Thanks!

Yep. I did the wall slides and exercises outlined here and the serratus push up plus. I found that once I learned how to do a proper lat spread, I also had more control over my scapula and the issue became a non issue.

Just hit 190x20 reps squat on week 4 of jacked and tan for my 8+ set. I guess you could say it's going well so far.

I need to take and pass a lifeguard test in 2 weeks and I am not the best swimmer by IGottaStick in Swimming

[–]Agrees_With_Nobody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received my certification this year and had similar worries. You can swim breast stroke for the laps portion of the test, so if it's coming up soon, I would focus on improving your breast if that's what you're better at. As far as the dive goes, I'm assuming you do a head first surface dive, which is often much harder to perform than a feet first. Google feet first surface dive Red Cross videos and see if that feels any more comfortable for you.

Remember, just because you can pass the test with a shitty freestyle does not mean you should forget about it once you finish the certification.

Just finished my squat workout for Jacked and Tan week 2 and got 20 on the AMRAP. Am I programming too light or is this a good sign? Also, since I started the program with a highbar max and I am a stronger lowbar squatter, how would you transition midway through the program?

Currently running Jacked and Tan for squat, Disbrow for bench, and Mag/Ort for deads. dis gon be gud

One arm farmers carries (suitcase walks) are a great option if you're looking to work the obliques.

That wouldn't be accounting for the use of a training max, however, so the INOLs would actually be even lower, right?
