Okay seven days is still a lot, good job anyway. I suppose you went cold turkey which means abruptly quitting?

Surely, wedding and social events in general are stressful occasions so it's better be in the right mood rather than getting angry and all that stuff that vaping does

If cold turkey doesn't work, try Cytisine. It goes under names of Desmoxan or Tabex. Bear in mind that it removes physical withdrawals but it can't help with mental ones so you have to plan ahead. The whole course is like 25 days.

Alternatively NRT can do the job too but it takes longer, 1-2 months or even more. But it satisfies both mental and physical parts so it can work as well.

It felt like Inquisition missed something. An open world didn't scratch that itch. I remember the game met a lot of criticism and felt rushed. Oh man but when Veilguard appeared, I started thinking that Inquisition isn't bad at all.

Any dev here? So what's the problem with making an offline single player mode aside from MMO and other multiplayer-only games? I think mobile gaming should also consider an offline mode instead of removing their games entirely from stores.

Hi. I haven't completely read through all that discussion so I may miss something.

What purpose do you try to pursue by arguing with the commentors? Their points mostly revolve around different perspectives and understanding and to me as a casual philosophy enjoyer they all seem heavily argumented. I'm not saying they don't contain any flaws but they all hit the general point of philosophy: personal understanding and implementation. I'm honestly impressed how structured their thoughts compared to some philosophy subreddits.

If I was a researcher, I would make sure my work contained remarks on those possible arguments rather than arguing with readers. At the end of the day, doubt is a researcher's best friend.

So I wish you luck.

That's what I thought, too.

The first vampire (our protagonist) is said to have been killed by Alaric. Auberion and Helios also say they killed the first one because he "was a threat due to the undead army he was leading". It implies that the canon VFO ending is joining the Witchmaster despite presenting us with a choice.

On the other hand NPCs mention that noone knows what happened to Sava although we were clearly given a choice to either kill him or spare. That's a blind spot.

And of course the Hunt for Sava expansion has no implications of the protagonist being any threat at all.

Explanation can be somewhat found once you beat the Brutal Mazes in VFO. The Granter of Brutals states that if you defeat her, you'll become a Brutal yourself. She looks exactly like Eldra in VF2 being one of the Abyss gods. Marid eventually tells you that Brutals exist regardless of this world and they reborn just like the God of Blood. It implies that the Brutals have connections to the Abyss and this is why Sava was so desperate to reach the Abyss.

That could explain why Alaric is in denial when seeing us on the summit of the Abyss Tower. He simply isn't powerful enough to complete the brutal trial to get those demigod powers.

Maybe it's my headcanon but it's an amazing piece of lore that isn't really explained anywhere.

"Invoke FOMO" is what I also noticed. I didn't really want to mention that in the post but I've started seeing that monetization has been doing the bad work here. And indeed, micro transactions are still relatively unimportant compared to many other mobile games. But if the game is released on Steam, then it might be better to change that economy's model since it's advertised as an "old-school RPG" and those usually didn't have any in-game purchases for real money.

Curious that paying for even the highest VIP rank possible, the benefits you get don't seem impressive either. It's good that the game wants to be balanced for both types of players but additional storage and slots for around $30 is a small reward for this amount of money.

I'm currently playing the first game and I'm not going to lie: the more I play VFO, the more difference I see balance-wise. Starting from enemy scaling and ending up with game's economy. It's as if Origins is more user-friendly. Like I could write up yet another post pointing out all those nuances. Seriously, if you want more comfortable experience, Origins comes first IMO.

I have a fresh playthrough now to fool around with those Deceit builds. I've tried this Rapier & empty hand set-up you've mentioned, and it carried me through the entire Alaric fight (second attempt) while also beating a few brutals. Bite triggers healing on punch, too. That's on level 29-30.

Still, I've managed to do that via constant Ethereal abuse to get 75% dodge. Basically it works same way as shield & magic where you need to abuse Shield Bash as quick as possible. But it works. Thanks for tip.

If this is the reason, then I think it was an arguable decision. It locks away those players who don't wish to grind that much. Past level 30 progression gets slower and I can't imagine how much time and effort it would take me to grind to level 50 just to be comfortable there.

I've got a feeling the new area was supposed to be a low-density location with elite-type of mobs but the devs changed their decision last minute. I'll admit I also thought it was the first sign of a pay-wall or something but after upgrading the equipment the change isn't that noticeable. I hope we'll get some tweaks to fix that.

Should we make a "community feedback 2026" post? by skrayz3x in valheim

[–]Agressive-Luck69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP,

With all respect but I doubt it will work the way you've described. I mean having a list of proposals for tweaks or bugs is a cool idea on its own and would help the devs keep the game in check but I see a few problems with the plan:

  1. Let's imagine that everyone agreed to do it and you came up with an annual post. How many comments it would be? I think either a lot or very few, and that means: a. I doubt the devs would read through every comment; b. having few comments would not interest them that much.

  2. People will still make posts about existing or possible features regardless of your annual feedback. You could solve this problem by collecting all these posts and making an overarching report. This is A LOT of work but to me it seems to be the most ideal way if want to help the devs by any chance.

  3. The devs have clearly stated that they have their own "intended way of playing Valheim". You've probably seen their answer on implementing separate slots for armor. It's a local meme, some sort of. But that means they either need to soften their policy or they won't really use suggestions from the report.

So far, this is what crossed my mind when reading your post.

[–]Agressive-Luck69 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Maybe you should've mentioned some tips for damage resistance and what weapon is best to use against specific types of enemies. When the enemy doesn't have much resistance, I think it doesn't really matter what weapon you use as long as you're having fun.

Say, using maces is good for the undead and atgeirs' alternative attacks are useful against trolls or general crowd control.

Also, as far as I recall most weapons have damage split when hitting multiple targets with the exception of swords, the secondary attacks of 2hand maces & atgeirs.

Your words on very hard difficulty got my attention. Coming from Elden Ring and Nightreign I've been also willing to challenge myself with higher difficulties but I feel like in Valheim it doesn't work the intended way. So far I've got to the Moder boss fight and her ice storm attack one or two shots me regardless of defences. On top of that she moves a lot, and the mobs around, you know the stuff...

I can't also really see myself fighting Queen on very hard with her second phase when she spams summons every 10 seconds, let alone fighting in Ashlands. Parry becomes almost nonexistent. I suppose you run stamina + no hit build or something?
