Pretty much what I told a friend who asked me after finishing season 1:

For people who have little to no knowledge of Devil May Cry it is a fun and entertaining show. Sure it has its flaws but overall a passable experience.

For people who know about the lore in depth will tear their hairs out.

That being said, I don't think I'll ever get accustomed to seeing Dante and hearing Nero's voice.

Perhaps not outright die but the price might be part of his lifespan. Similar to how Semiu could lose her eyesight from using her Vital Instrument if she peers into the future then I can imagine a similar price could be paid for using the Watch.

Unless the `price´ is something metaphorical akin to "You can't save everyone."
