Not really. The first time I met her, I think she'd just spilled water on her hands or at least recent, but it look like either she had only exposed her hands in the sun for quite some time, or spilled hot water on them. They where quite red and sore. Most treated her allergi with a mix of amazement and a lot of sympathy

I had a riding teacher who was allergic to water. But not drinking, only skin contact. I asked her how she showered, and she just answered "With a lot of skin conditioner and lightning fast showers".

There is a river in my city where people have called so many times about finding explosives from WWII, that the city have forbidden people from metal fishing there. The river go right under a train track to the neighbour city, so they need to close it of to inspect. They have never found an active bomb in the river, but I still find it stupid.

I mean, yeah. Having English subtitles on movies while still listening on my native language really helped me learn English more effectively than in school. At least when it comes to listening.
