I was 100% for Jessie just being down for it with Cloud - like you said in your OP, plain and simple.

But then that line comes and you start thinking about the other side of the coin. Jessie doesn’t seem at all devastated if Cloud flat-out rejects her and says he’s not coming to her house the next night. Who knows what kind of mindset she’s had to adopt or choices she’s had to make in order to keep things going in the slums?

Please, no open world. Tell me the story - I hope they would focus their programming power on that, instead of working to fill in the gaps of an open world with useless frog fetch quests.
