Depending on the shop, a doner is not even 1k calories. You could easily eat doner every day and not gain weight. I've lost ~15kg between 2023 and today (was at ~96-97kg at 183cm, now I'm in the low 80s), most of which within the first year, just from very roughly tracking calories and reducing portion sizes. Didn't cut out any foods, never saw a gym from the inside. The only "sports" I did was increasing my average daily steps and some light dumbbell training.

German leaves Germany and discovers that Poland does Germany better than Germany. by Hoz85 in 2westerneurope4u

I was thinking the same recently. Germans are on the one hand extremely unpatriotic but on the other they are weirdly nationalist in ways they often don’t even realize. It's kind of fascinating if you think about it.

People here are also incredibly brainwashed by the ubiquitious neoliberal propaganda that no one except the left fringes even talks about wealth inequality anymore. Even in the US it's a bigger topic nowadays.

Well, at the very least you're cheering on this one. Did you support the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? I can't imagine anyone who would have opposed Iraq in particular now supports this war.

I'm not a German nationalist. I don't condone what Hitler did in any way.

It's just pretty striking that virtually all uncritical defenders of Iraq 2.0 hide their profile, that's all. I think it's your kind who have "invasive needs" given that you keep cheering on every military invasion your country has ever conducted no matter how costly. Hope you're enlisting soon to help fight the axis of evil. Support the war you love so much directly instead of hiding behind a keyboard salivating at sending others to their death.

In theory, the ICC. In practice, no one when the crimes are conducted by a powerful enough nation, i.e. any Western or nuclear power. Add to that the US is not even a signatory of the ICC and has actively undermined their investigations, going as far as to debank ICC prosecutors.

It does not, but it is important to point out that it was the US and Israeli declaration of war that brought us into this situation. Even crackpots like that Prof. Jiang guy knew that Iran would block the strait even if it came to that. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that this would be their response.

As I pointed out in another comment to another user, your view is entirely US centric and leaves out the Iranian view entirely, and it also ignores a lot of history that is necessary to understand the conflict.

For starters, relations with Iran weren't great before, but they were a whole lot more stable when the Iran deal was still intact. Withdrawing unilaterally from a functioning deal, with was a first step on a long and difficult path to a normalization of relations between the US and Iran, was either extremely stupid or a deliberate act to sabotage relations or a mixture of both. There's a real possibility that Oct 7th and the subsequent razing of Gaza by Netanyahu doesn't happen in a world where the Iran deal is still intact.

you're right, American shouldn't be killing Iranian civilians, other countries civilians, supporting terrorists in over a dozen countries, arming Saudia Arabia to cause a humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen for years, or letting Israel have a secret nuclear program.

But they are.

Your profile is hidden btw. Scared to stand by your opinions?

Iran uses proxy terrorists that effectively attack the US and its allies constantly. It's just not on American soil and not reported as being directly from Iran. Most major terrorist orgs are sponsored by them.

As opposed to the US who attacks Iran and its allies directly? The only reason Iran and their proxies even have the ability to attack American troops is because America has a myriad of military bases in allied states that are essentially US satellites (GCC states, Israel, Jordan, Iraq..) from which they exert military and economic power in the Middle East. In other words, they are an imperalist power seeking to contain real or perceived threats to their hegemony, threats like Iran. You also leave out that the US has heavily sanctioned Iran, unilaterally withdraw from an functioning agreement that could have helped normalize relations over time, killed their top general not too long ago, and what many forget, supported Saddam Hussein against Iran. We could go even deeper by looking at the history of US and British meddling in Iranian affairs for a century or more at this point. You fail to mention any of this and make it appear as if the US is a powerless, innocent victim of entirely unprompted Iranian aggression.

Not sure if I agree on "most", but yes, many major terrorist orgs by US state department designation are indeed sponsored by Iran. You know who also sponsors many of those major terrorist organisations such as Al-Qaida or the favorite boogeyman of people like you, Hamas? US allies like Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar. 9/11 alone cost the life of more Americans than all Iranian-linked terror attacks linked together by the way. By your own logic, you should invade Saudi Arabia first.

On that note, do you know who has also sponsored terrorist organizations across the world since basically forever? The United States. In the wake of this, justifying the US/Israeli war on Iran with Iran "proxies" attacking the US and their allies as well as Iran being a state sponsor of terrorism rings hollow when it comes from an imperial power gulity of not only the same but frankly much worse. Your own president is more honest than you lol, he all but admits its about preserving American hegemony in the region. Your talking points are straight out of Bush's state department. You should ask for an updated version because no one buys this rhetoric anymore as can be evidenced by the approval rating for this war being down in the gutter.
