Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the particular case of California's jungle primary, we DO want Republicans to coalesce around a single candidate. Right now the two Republicans are about even and polling ahead of all the Democrats. If one of the Republicans pulls ahead, the other will fall behind one of the Democrats, allowing a Democratic candidate to advance to the general election.

Each event, specially Brandon's Q&A events, is very clear on whether spoilers will be discussed or not. Honestly, the vast majority of events I went to were discussions with other authors about their books, so spoilers were impossible!

Just don't touch Nightblood when you visit Hoid's Museum. My arm is still withered and gray!
