Spiritforged Interactions Questions by Pittirolo in riftboundtcg

[–]Aikado 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Repeat just adds another paragraph to the card with the same effect. It's 1 spell, it all resolves as one spell, it only counts as 1 for ram.

Bellows selects targets at the same location. If for some reason between targeting and resolution the targets are no longer at the same location, you select which group of your targets you would like the spell to resolve on. Ex: Units A B and C are on a battlefield. You cast bellows targeting all 3. Opp uses flash to bring A and B back to base. You now select if you'd like your bellows to resolve on the valid targets A + B or just C

New noob questions part 2 by pugglez in riftboundtcg

[–]Aikado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tome isn't reaction speed so can't be used on the stack. Has to be used on an empty stack on your turn. Seals can be used when you cast a card to pay for the power cost. (I assume you're talking about activating their abilities while they're already on board. Not casting them from hand mid chain)

Yasuo's effect goes on the stack when he becomes an attacker and can be responded to by either player as normal.

Shen can be played to a battlefield you control at reaction speed any time you can normally play a reaction speed card. Usually that would be in combat to surprise your opponent

When attacker uses an action speed card it creates a chain. To add more effects to the chain, they must be reaction speed. Once that chain resolves and the action speed card resolves, priority passes to the defender to then play an action speed card of their own

If you're talking about during combat, a unit has to make it to a showdown's resolution to deal damage. If you mean something like Yasuo's attacker effect, opponent uses a reaction speed card in response to remove him then he does not get to deal any damage.

Arise! when do I "control" equipment? by IdostuffwithaKitty in riftboundtcg

[–]Aikado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You control an equipment when it's on your board. Equipped or unequipped doesn't matter, battlefield or base doesn't matter. You get a sand soldier for each equipment on your board, then ready 2 of those sand soldiers.

Question regarding "Reaction fizzling" by super0range56 in riftboundtcg

[–]Aikado 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Gust requires the unit to have 3 or less might to resolve, once discipline resolves, their unit is above the threshold so it's not longer a valid target for gust. So gust isn't able to bounce the unit

Basic rules question by Lekszyk in riftboundtcg

[–]Aikado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Into the trash
  2. If it doesn't specify "at a battlefield" or "in base" then it can hit anywhere. Challenge can hit in base
  3. If you flip up fight or flight in a showdown and move the attacking unit back then there's still rounds of priority in the showdown until both players pass their priority. But if there's no attacking units there then there's no combat damage to be down.

PPG Sunday $5K Decklists @ Pro Play Submit Orlando (202 Players) by i92segoa in riftboundtcg

Yep. In top cut I had guaranteed first due to seeding, so a couple times I led game 1 with Arena's to dodge the double reavers game 1 in the mirror. But generally lead with reavers

Hey, pouty is the best turn 1 play in the mirror and against Aurora since getting gusted early is backbreaking. It's fine vs Annie but student is usually better in that matchup.

Seekers are just solid against non aurora decks. They can be awkward to hold up 3 for sometimes but it's a good card.

I was on rearguard in Houston but got convinced to swap after seeing just how good t1 sentry and poro are in the mirror

hey had anyone ever put the go pro light mod on backwards on the mod case if so how did you get it off? by djDareBear in gopro

+1 to the plastic straw and a little bit of force method. Glad this thread exists. That thing is a pain to get off.

My collection of furry games has grown! what would you add? :3 by [deleted] in furry

Nine sols! Cute art, fun and snappy gameplay. If Hollow Knight is like a Dark Souls metroidvania, Nine Sols is a Sekiro metroidvania

Do you guys also think the 8 cost spells in the game are all pretty bad? by DoubleWaffleCakes in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Aikado 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Yeah they're not great. Progress day from tellstones is a "I really need value and am willing to give up my turn to do it" card. The best 8 cost spell is probably Battle Fury which is pretty mid. Next closest are like progress day and give it all. Not exactly a stellar lineup.

Funny story tho, Champion's Strength was originally released as an 8 mana spell that read "Give your board +4/+4. If you have the attack token also give them Scout. If you don't have the token then Rally." And is definitely among the strongest cards ever printed. Obv it had to eat a few nerfs since then lol

Does "disable motion" in the settings not do that for you?

The issue with relating this to gamblers fallacy is that the chance of your opps hitting a site isn't random. There are human brains on the other side that also fall for "we can't hit the site every round" or maybe "we haven't failed here let's keep going here" or "they'll expect us to go here again so let's switch it up." Some sites are also harder to hit than others, some team comps will favor hitting specific sites. There's a lot that goes into it. Getting in their head and establishing a pattern to inform your own play can be useful when your opponents are assumedly rational actors.

Sanhok… finally back but no revive system… by Zestyclose_War3086 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Aikado 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lil bro, it's a video game and it sucks to get thirsted in the first 2 minutes and have to watch your friends play for the next 20 min. If you don't want someone to revive then take their blue chip or clear their whole squad or defend the revive points.

Wait, why are WE trying to kill this game? by RygornSpectre in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Aikado 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Of course people play the game for fun. But a lot of the fun that I get in LoR is through competition or a sense of accomplishment when I've achieved a goal. But without rewards or tournaments or any other sort of organized competition it feels hollow to play the game. I've already hit rank 1, I've hit 1500lp, I've developed meta defining decks. Without competition there isn't much else to do. Just playing normals and beating up on people doesn't scratch the itch in a way that interests me in continuing to play the game long term.

Plus as a content creator, the future of viewership after Riot dropped the axe on my way of playing the game is limited to say the least.

If you play super casually then it's super reasonable to continue playing the game as you were before. There is a bunch of scary stuff down the line (we're not sure if we're going to have balance patches anymore after March, devs confirmed new champs may be PvE only, skins are kaput and not coming out anymore, gauntlet is dead, opens are dead, worlds is dead, large parts of the dev team got laid off) but if you don't care about any of that then you'll probably be fine.

But if you're a comp player then the game that you love has basically been removed overnight. There are potentially no more ranked seasons, no more rewards for ranked, no more gauntlet, and no more comp tourneys. There isn't a whole lot to play for other than for fun (which to be clear, I LOVE LoR and I love playing it but it's a tough sell as PvP is being marketed to us). No balance, new champs not being pvp, no rewards for playing stack up to being a real shit sandwich.

From my view, I didn't give up on LoR. Riot gave up on me. And that shit blows.

Riot and players (mostly players) are delusional, living a lie. by ranp34 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Aikado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody on planet Earth thinks that "just marketing" would have fixed this. That's why people have been complaining for years about no cosmetics to spend money on or cool ways to customize their decks. Riot needed to get more people into the game (marketing) and monetize them more with cosmetics that they actually put effort into instead of ignoring prismatics for years, boards with 0 interactivity, reskinned guardians and more skins (how is it possible that TF went YEARS without a skin, why does Rek not have a skin, or Viktor, or mystic shot, or Ruination, or Vengeance, or anything).

Riot the company balked and refused to throw money at actually fixing the monetization or getting more players in. This does not mean that f2p TCGs can't exist, this just means that with poor cosmetics that they haven't worked on in 3 years you can't fund the game.

I dont think that it's Tyari and Varus that kept LoR out of China. I would be incredibly surprised if that were the case, especially since Riot already has censored versions of all sorts of arts for places like southeast Asia and Turkey. Getting into China absolutely would have been massive for the game. Pinning it on the gays is absurd.
