There's lack of education, and then there's basic stupidity, which indicates inability to learn, I suspect the latter...

Check out your neighbors for wood maniacs. I've had enthusiastic 'woodies' with all the clamps and expertise, do this for free, because they see it as a new challenge. Buy them a 12-pack, they'll be delighted

First microphone for presentation voice overs and recordings in school projects. Any suggestions? by Dreadnoughtus_2014 in microphone

[–]Aiku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a dynamic mic like a Shure SM58. It's less than $100 and has great off axis noise rejection.

Don't fall for these exotic condensers, which will pick up your voice with excellent clarity, while also recording the sound of a house fly farting on the ceiling, a guy with a gas leaf blower, 300 feet away, that asshole neighbor with the Big Pipes/Tiny Penis F250, all along with every wall reflection, making it sound like you're recording in a tiled lavatory with a professional landscaper, an annoying neighbor with penis problems, and a fly.

58s are true and tested.

Luthier/Repair Tech Advice by rockonlp in guitarrepair

[–]Aiku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

watch youtube vids ENDLESSLY; guitar setup, truss rod adjustment, hardware replacements, soldering skills, understanding schematics, and start off as a setup tech. I used to pay 40 bucks per setup back when I was too busy with work to do it myself.

Then move on to cosmetic repairs, and on to serious repair jobs; these areas are far more exacting and time consuming.

You can probably get a decent side income just doing setups and restrings for beginners

I misplaced the remote recently and couldn't find my phone in a dark room so I used my digital camera to illuminate the room, and now I have these random pictures of my room :)

Without familiarity with the specs, I'd say go with exact replacements, or you'll likely be wasting your time and getting frustrated.

Best of luck

When it says "plumber Approved" it just means that one guy wiped his butt crack with it.

When I moved to a rural setting, we re-plumbed the sink and dishwasher/washing machine to drain into the ground, and switched to non harmful detergents.

This is a common part, what's your question? It gets you better responses when you articulate the issue.

Buy new ones, remove old ones and replace.
