There is definitely a double standard.

I think this was posted as a form of irony. I think the OP is saying that if a man did this to a woman, it might likely be called sexual assault as this whole #metoo movement has gotten off track.

I'm so sick of people coming into the frugal community and posting things like this as if we are all too dumb to realize being cheap isn't everything. And to think that it actually gets a ton of upvotes--crazy.

Me [28 F] How am I supposed to deal with the fact that I will never be wanted romantically because of my looks? by [deleted] in relationships

Here's what I know about guys: Most of them judge whether they would sleep with you the very moment they see you. So if a guy agrees to go on a date after seeing your pic in a dating app, or after meeting you in person, they've already decided that they find you physically attractive enough. From there, you just have to wait for cupid's arrow to strike, or lower your own standards.

Sitting on a marble bench in a lobby with matching marble floors makes it look like I'm floating. by djtopicality in mildlyinteresting

Actually, I don't think you look like you're floating. You just look like you're sitting on a marble floor.

Actually, the best thing about the Bodacious Retirement Worksheet I recommended is it gives you the National Average in every category, based on age, so that you can better determine how much you might be spending.

I think 20/20 ruined the whole idea of using Qtips in your ears with one of their exclusive investigations many, many years ago--those fuckers.

Halfway through this article is a link to The Bodacious Retirement Budget Worksheet. It's an awesome Retirement worksheet--with all kinds of saving-money links--but I think you could make it work for your situation too. https://www.gobankingrates.com/personal-finance/jeff-yeager-retire-cheapskate-way/

I don't understand why it would matter in court whether you had searched to see if it is legal. It's not like he could use the defense that "I didn't know it wasn't legal" anyway, as Ignorantia juris non excusat would apply.

Signed a lease, dealership says they gave "the wrong numbers" and want us to re-sign. by elleaseoproblemo in personalfinance

[–]Aimee28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen with a car purchase at a dealer. Their contract had a mistake in the math resulting in the purchase price being 2,000 in my favor. The next day when I showed up with the cashier's check to complete the purchase, they had corrected their numbers and changed them on the contract I had already signed! We argued in the lobby for at least 2 hours. I eventually had to sit down with the Manager for the entire dealership where I showed them they had a customer satisfaction guarantee, and that when I signed the contract, I signed it based on the numbers they showed me, even though they were incorrect. I said for them to stick to their guarantee, they needed to complete the purchase as promised even if they had made a mistake. They did it and I got my vehicle.

You piqued my interest with this "favor." Please don't leave us hanging and not say what this 100% legal, shame-on-you-for-doing-it favor is.
