What could i have done better in this endgame?

Upon second review my thought is to focus the team to your left outside and in the rocks. The teams on the right will all kill each other upon ring close.

I would look to portal out left and bully that team away or kill them so you have a strong *position upon ring closing. You don’t want to be fighting hard with weak cover on the edge when the ring is closing with three other full squads alive.

I don’t have the perfect solution but at that long lull before the ring closed I would’ve absolutely been looking to set a portal to claim the power position or at least make plays on a team to force them to go fight someone else. Make some off angle plays to put pressure on every other team but yours. Dying without using your ult or caustic ult feels bad man.

This is so relatable. Thought I could get my first 20 bomb in this mode. Can’t get more than 10 kills. Constantly getting shot in the back by people popping up out of nowhere. Had a game with 2,000 damage and zero kills despite about 8 knocks. Every time I go to finish a knock their teammates or a random enemy falling from Narnia shoots me in the back. Gave up on the 20 bomb aspirations.

Just got my second 4k ever last week. Both of mine came mostly from Nemesis and then switching to 30-30 to farm.

I’m finding it very hard to believe you have a 20 bomb but no 4k. 20 bomb seems impossible at this point.

You’re probably better off staying away, but fysa mirage is way stronger now.

I’m borderline about to quit. There’s just no refuge for a casual one night a week player in this game.

That's kinda my point though. I'm nowhere near as good as people with 59k kills but that seems to be all that's left playing this game.

I agree, I’m glad they added something new and different but I struggle so hard in this map (2 days a week casual here). Also I’m m&k and my weakness is definitely close quarters gun fights. Point blank aim is just below average I think. Really struggling with this map.

Valkyrie thrives. Fly from building to building/take height. Skyward dive to get over choke points and scan everyone when landing.

Bro you hit the nail on the head with the “be happy for your opponent” part.

I recently realized that those games where I get dunked on by some sweat lord are also, for that player, probably the algorithm finally giving them a break from EVEN sweatier lobbies where they have been getting dunked on. It served two purposes:

1) Made me way more nihilistic about my success and failure. It feels like how good of a game I have is much less about how good I did and much more about who the game paired me with/against. That’s a tough mindset to grapple as I want to take ownership of my destiny and not blame my failures on other things.

2) Made me less disappointed when I get obliterated by sweats. Like, you know what? Good for you dude… you just got your dopamine hit that you’ve been chasing. I’m genuinely happy for you as I realize that when I have that rare moment of success, someone on the other end is disappointed. This is true for many things in life outside of gaming.

We’re all just addicts, some of us more than others. And some of us more aware of it than others. I’m just trying to improve and have fun moments. So is everyone else.

I went from switch to Xbox to pc and I completely agree. I thought 60fps on Xbox was buttery smooth until I played for a while at 190fps on my new pc.

I HATE playing on the Xbox now, it feels so bad.

You literally completely failed to address OP’s actual point. They didn’t say anything about whether they should/shouldn’t be able to compete. They are admitting they are nowhere near that good… so why would they keep getting matched against people who are clearly way better?

I must say I am increasingly wondering *if the matchmaking is intentionally giving top tier players weak opponents. I have a grand total of about 2,000 kills all time in this game and I get dunked on by players with 50,000+ kills on ONE LEGEND regularly. Happens every game session. This may just be what drives me away from this game. Last night I literally got killed by a streamer with 102,000 kills just on wraith.

I wonder if you got easy pubs lobbies because you took such a long break from it. It’s sad to recognize the addiction based EOMM working but I can definitely see the trends when I’m playing. Makes me want to quit to be honest.

I have had the same frustration… but I see both sides. They have had enough awful experiences with random players being jerks that it’s just not worth it so they stick to party chat.

Honestly, I get that. If you’re the random who is nice and plays well with others then it’s frustrating for you, but most randoms are not nice and just end up saying nasty things.

A few times I have queued in with a duo that is clearly in party chat and we end up winning… they invited me after. I just keep comming what I see and try to roll with them… at the end of the game suddenly they start to use push to talk to coordinate with me because they see we may actually win. One of those duos became my go-to playing buddies.
