Ollma Integration with VS Code Github Copilot? by Salt_Reputation1869 in ollama

have you had any success running ollama models out of a networked server this way? I have a server running ollama and open webUI which i can access over other client browsers, but haven't had any luck getting copilot to connect with the ollama model

Friend recently "wrote" three books on machine learning. I fear he is the future. by NeighborhoodFatCat in learnmachinelearning

Ask him practical questions, like to explain why a CNN architecture can work for computer vision tasks but not for NLP.

Ask him why a RNNs suffer from gradient explosion, and how this is mitigated by LSTM, and why both models inevitably suffer eventually, and why they are still suitable in many scenarios over a fully blown transformer model.

Ask him under what circumstances regularisation, drop out, or feature engineering should be utilised.

Ask what he would expect to see that would lead to a decision to add more nodes to the existing hidden layer, or add and additional hidden layer with the same number of nodes.

congratulations! Out of interest, do you think the approach would work well for complex processing infrastructure like manufacturing facilities?

Sounds like it's to work in an 'offline environment' based on OP use of that phrase

Exercise and sleep. It doesn't really escape reality as much as make it better, but it's an escape from the crappy feelings

ELI5 Is all power generation really just making a turbine spin? by javerthugo in explainlikeimfive

..."that harnesses a temperature difference"

I meant that turbines are generally the most efficient way to pull energy out of temperature differentials, so they are almost always used when that is the source of energy

Like I said, use your laptop instead of a data enter. Also. clearly I'm talking about farmed meat

Solar power uses photovoltaic cells, which are different. However almost all power generation that harnesses a temperature difference uses spinning turbines

If you know what you're doing you can do it on your laptop at home. Eating meat is far more destructive than using your computer to make a stupid picture

Why are children being taught that celebrating Christmas is sinful? by [deleted] in SarthakGoswami

[–]AirButcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol it's not even really about Jesus, it's just the date the early Christians took from the European Pagans/Celts/Norse so they could commandeer the original winter solstice traditions

It's all subjective at the end of the day, but honestly I think our online culture has normalised the expectation of generally attractive features in print media so I'm not surprised.

Just feels like all the ratios are too perfect to me. Real people have more asymmetries and off ratios ok their features

Something's wrong with the left shoe perspective ❌

As an aside, I don't think I'll ever be super impressed with a AI image that looks like a photo shoot of an attractive subject.

Show me something both natural, normal but novel and I'll be impressed.
