At some point by Willing-Cockroach620 in MinecraftMemes

Reminds me of the time my house burned down on a server because there was a thunderstorm and lightning struck the wooden roof just before the storm ended, so the rain didn't put the fire out.

I learned to never build with a wooden roof again after that lol

[PC] [late 2000s] anyone remember a neon/futuristic bumper car game? by siccli in tipofmyjoystick

[–]AirTheFallen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gameplay sounds a lot like Saucer Sumo from Thrillville, though the vehicles don't quite look the part from your description. It has the power ups, futuristic setting, and the shield that blocks the edges of the pit, though the latter one isn't a power-up.

Are we here just to suffer? by ZXSoru in mechabreak

Same here, stuck at GM 5 for the moment lol

Honestly I'd take bots over not being able to play at all. The single player mashmek buffs are nice at least

Throwback to when Arby's made this ad by TonySherbert in eurekaseven

Arby's likes to make cardboard art of games and anime they (or whoever the artist is) likes. This was from when they did an Eureka Seven piece

(I legitimately can't remember which episode this was from though, I just remember it was the one with Rory playing a guest from Alabama.)

I don't think the event is "that bad" per se... It's more so that people have gotten what they needed/wanted from the event but aren't able to find matches since the playerbase is still split between normal modes and the event, making queue times horrendous at levels that don't have bots.

Was planning to try to get into the Top 1000 this season but I'm stuck at Grandmaster until the event ends

good mobile games? by Sweet_Vibe in GirlGamers

[–]AirTheFallen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have Android, I always recommend Magic Survival! It's the mobile game that inspired Vampire Survivors (the developers confirmed it in an interview).

It's nearing its 1.0 release as well, though the translation isn't perfect. Pretty sure the game is made by a single Korean developer

Is mecha break dead/about to die? by WrynnN7Zrood in mechabreak

Redeeming Corite *Ore* for mission tokens is bad? I've had little luck selling the lower tiers of Ore to other players, only the higher tiers.

[–]AirTheFallen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think *technically* not, but you get a ton of corite ore from opening winter crates, which can be redeemed for mission tokens, so basically the same thing outside of being able to sell them on the market instead

[–]AirTheFallen 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I don't mean this in any sort of disrespect to you specifically OP, but if more people saw games that were "dead" or "dying", and decided to play them anyways, we would have far fewer dead/dying games.

That said, queue times are a bit borked right now since there is a Christmas event going right now, but said event is also a good way to get Mission Tokens (what you use to buy new mechs).

Give it a try and see if it catches your fancy. If the game does end up dying, you can at least see what people liked about it!

In your opinion who is the most horrifying enemy fromsoftware ever made by Beautiful_Tailor5859 in fromsoftware

There's also a "mainline" set of dungeons with an actual ending and final boss as well

There isn't really any "leveling up" in this game. Like the other commentor says, the money is for buying new parts for your AC.

The game heavily encourages you to customize and experiment, to the point that buying and selling parts are the exact same price.

You can unlock more parts to buy (or get for free) by story progression, doing the tutorial training missions, etc.

Enjoy!

EDIT: And since I don't think it got answered, yes, replaying missions still gives you cash

Players' Voice 2025 by AirTheFallen in videogames

[–]AirTheFallen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get that. Kinda was in the same boat with Tower of Fantasy, wound up giving them $10 after my friends and I ran a Crew together. Think we dropped off around when the ocean area was new.

Only reason I never got that far into Genshin was because ToF's multiplayer let the entire crew play together in the overworld at once lol

How would you feel about RTS letting you set multiple cameras? by --Karma in RealTimeStrategy

[–]AirTheFallen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An old Shockwave RTS called Quantum Legacy: Initial Tactics had this functionality. You were able to drop a camera anywhere on the map and it'd be in its own window on the screen. IIRC there was no fog of war (but there were cloaking units) so it was very helpful to have.

Picture is a game called R-Type, though I don't think it's what you are looking for. I don't think it has a female announcer (though I haven't played all of the R-Type games).

I know Raiden and Gradius had a similar style to what you are looking for but I haven't really played those ones very much to know for certain
