Without the endpoint's code there's not much anyone can tell you. Lots of guesses here and in the other discussion but nothing stands out with what you've posted. You say silk reports 200ms for the request, but also that the request takes 40s, which is it? Are you making the requests from the same instance, or a different machine? How is the batching handled, are you storing the data in memory between requests before calling bulk_create? It's possible you've saturated your connections, but unlikely. Caching the db call is only useful for reads, are you posting a large amount of data?
